I miss groups like this. The Manhattans, The Stylistics, The Temptations, The O'jays, Spinners, and the like.. We need smooth groups like this back again. IMO, this was the best of the 70's.

That's "OLD SCHOOL" for you young brother! That's why a lot of us older folks keep saying today's music just ain't as good as the "OLD SCHOOL". Whether it's ROCK, SOUL, RAP, POP, or even COUNTRY, it was better back then. It just was. Oh by the way, it wasn't just MOTOWN, there was the "THE PHILLY SOUND too. Soul came from all over the country. Even Scotland (THE AVERAGE WHITE BAND), and England (Many artists had songs on the R&B charts.

I’m young myself and this is all listen to. These barrio oldies be making my eyes tear because I have the special someone, and that’s what it’s all about. If I was around back then, I could def see myself in the audience of the Apollo. Few artists got that soul nowadays

I have to say that I wouldn't be here if you didn't do such meaningful reactions. CONGRATS on 50,000!!!! You are still going to grow, no doubt. I was so happy to see you reacting to this song. It is one of my favorites because of the bass singer's voice. He made the whole song for me. Thanks for your reaction, Jay! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Take care and be well. Peace. I found this info on the song: "Kiss and Say Goodbye" is a 1976 hit song worldwide, by popular American R&B vocal group The Manhattans. It was written by group member Winfred Lovett,[1] the bass singer and songwriter of the group, who intoned the famous spoken voice of the song's intro."

This is beautiful to see a young man hear the Manhattans for the first time. Kiss and Say Goodbye is a classic, but brother, don't stop there. Billy Paul, The Chi-Lites, Spinners, O'Jays, Stylistics, Delfonics, Tyrone Davis, Harold Melvin & the Bluenotes, Commodores, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose, Tower of Power, Betty Wright, Otis Redding,... Work your way all the way back to the creator of Soul - Mr. Sam Cooke. Someone once said you can't love the blues till you've lived the blues. I hear that, but listen to these and other artists and you'll know why it's called soul music. That's where it comes from. Keep on keepin' on!

67 years of music for me. I’ve been blessed to have heard everything from Led Zeppelin to Willie Nelson and this is by far one of my top favorite songs. I’m really digging your channel. Your listeners are really bringing it 👍🏽

Mate, yon gotta listen to "forever by your side" by them ( The Manhattans). It's perfect. And for similar vibe, try The Stylistcs -You Make Me Feel Brand New.

These old bands music needs to stay around. My dad was this era and I heard this music all the time. I'm glad he did.

They could sing like no one else could..all almost same style..together in sync dancing..moving..singing..and each member had..his unique and awesome voice..like the..Manhattans..The Trammps..The Spinners..The Four Tops..The O'Jay's..The Drifters..The Temptations..Tavares and many others..just awesome..I wa lucky that all this awesome music happened in my childhood..and early teenage years.. :)

This is the best music ever. They had so much talent and class. If they were in Motown, they were world class.

I'm old school and I grew up listening to Motown. When Hip-Hop took over the airwaves i stopped listening to the radio. Even going to concerts is no longer fun now that my generation of singers are older or deceased. Thank you for your reaction videos. They bring back a lot of good memories.

Beautiful! Good memories from the Summer of '76. If you liked this one, you will probably like "Float On" by The Floaters. I just love this smooth 70's stuff. There's nothing like it out there now.
