So! Long time no see, right? Yeah, that's just so typical for me. My inspiration is fickle so is my free time when this inspiration finally hits.
But here it is! Another Marauders video from me. I made it to celebrate birthdays of two marauders' queens: Zoé and Alyssa. I am obviously terribly late but you have to forgive me - I'm the worst case of slow vidder ever. I hope that the fact that this vid is almost 5min long will recompensate for the delay! I love you girls and hope to see neverending feed of marauders vids from you!
As to the vid! I know it skips over some basic important scenes you usually expect from the marauders vids but I really hate repeating scenes and ideas in my vids. So I aimed to make some new and if you feel like something in the story is lacking, then I encourage to watch my previous vids about marauders :)
I gave some focus to Andromeda what may see weird as I didn't include some other typical characters for these times, but she was very significant in the general view of their world. She represented something really great.
Other controversial thing may be the fact that I paired Sirius both with Marlene and Remus. I always considered Sirius to be bi and rather... free spirit. So I like to headcanon that he had something nice with both of them. I think everyone are entitled to their own vision as we know so little about them :)
Anyway! I hope you will all enjoy.
As I made it with those two queens in mind, I tried to follow most of their fancast choices. They are truly on point!

So I did cheat a little and watch this on my phone first (I just couldn't wait), but I'm going to do my analysis now anyway. 0:05 - YES TO TOLKIEN. I remember messaging you the minute I saw the preview of that movie and being like, "We're about to be fed new scenes." Amazing. 0:10 - _Amazing,_ I say! 0:21 - Young!Marauders hurts me. 0:34 - Marlene and Lily!! Such an underrated -friend- ship. 0:48 - THIS HURTS ME. Also, in other news, Lily Collins is the perfect Mary Macdonald and I'm not sure if I ever mentioned that to you or if you're just psychic?? 0:56 - Oh wow, people actually telling Dumbledore off? I STAN 1:02 - The Lily and Severus post!friendship vibe is so interesting to me. AND THAT BURN, OOF. 1:14 - Dorcas telling Peter off? OH WOW. And Peter's response was so _on point._ 1:30 - ALEKS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE 1:41 - I...love them. (cries) 1:48 - You actually added James and Snape dynamic scenes and I'm living for it. PHEW 1:55 - THIS MANIP 2:08 - Andromeda and Ted deserved the world. 2:22 - "Becoming what I hate..." With that Peter scene...How dare you. 2:24 - OH MY GOD 2:29 - When does she say Lily?? Oh my GOD??? 2:40 - This is a talent I just...can't comprehend. 2:50 - For real. How are you so talented?? 2:57 - Um. Excuse me. No. 3:00 - E V I L 3:21 - Stop they're all so happy. 3:25 - Oh Remus, how I love you. 3:46 - Any scenes of Jily dancing will make my heart swell with joy. 3:51 - A PLOT TWIST I STAN 3:57 - This is such a subtle manip but it makes your video so much better?? It's truly about the smaller details. I am in AWE. 4:03 - Sirius and Peter showdown... Pure pain. 4:26 - Oh man, this is such a great voiceover manip. I feel the power and it feels so _real._ 4:40 - Why hello, Emmeline! 4:47 - Well, that hurt. 5:01 - A perfect end for a perfect video. This is honestly the best and most thought-out Marauders video out there. You are absolutely ingenius with your ideas and manips. Everything felt so real and as if there were actual real scenes you were editing. I am in utter awe. I don't know how you do it, but gosh, I am so glad you do. NEVER STOP EDITING THEM.

Ahhhh you and your timestamp comments are my fav thing in the universe!! Thank you! And yes, Tolkien is a real snack for us. Finally nice footage for young marauders 😍 And Alicia says Lily (or actually Lili) a lot in The Danish Girl! That's the name Eddie's character takes! Another treat for us looking for any scrap hahaha I don't believe we ever discussed Mary but damn Lily is a great fancast!!! Tbh I just googled what people propose and when I saw her face there I immediately knew that's it. I love her and using her as a fancast is such a joy. Thank you so much again, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I wish us all the footage we can get and as much inspiration as there can be to keep bringing that world to life until HBO finally comes through and picks your screenplays up!

I really like that Peter is represented as how he was, a marauder, their friend, struggling. Yes he was a traitor, but before that he still was their friend and they loved him the same. That is why him betraying them was so heartbreaking and shocking.

@@elizabethsvlogs4210 A difficult one too from the way I see it. Family over friends. We know he had at least a mother by the end of the war but maybe he lost others. He's the only one with little background so there's so many possibilities of what happened.

truth: I need a set of movies based off the mauraders years at Hogwarts, but with peter being the cute bean I imagine he was before becoming a traitor, and with the gayness of wolfstar, and Regulus being an adorable angel that is too scared to stand up for what he believes in, and they need to end it before anyone dies, and yeah. I don't think they'll make those movies in the first place, and if they did, they wouldn't do ANY of that, especially not the no dying thing, but i can dream

I LOVE the fact that we see this part of Peter, a more emotional take from him; as well as from Snape. When the music started to fade, I thought the video was over, I was about to exit when I saw there was a few minutes left. Then, then it happened. The most wonderful chapter (one of many of course) of the video had begun. After the rush of chaos, destruction and sadness, we see the lighter side of it all, we see the Marauders and friends having fun, whole hearted fun, without a care in the world. Like in that moment, all the weight of the war, all the loss, all the pain; everything, just vanished. It was a moment, and they made it their moment; their memory. Because after all, in a time of war, what do you have left to hold onto than memories?

Legit made some sort of inhuman noise at the Tolkien scenes. Like, YAS THANK MERLIN I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FELT A MARAUDER TYPE VIBE FROM THE BOYS! Oh my god. This is like a best trailer for a Marauders movie. Well, even more. It is like I'm watching a short movie about them. Why it is 1 in the morning and I'm crying over them? Why did you made me cry? Why did you make me smile and cry at the same time? I'm happy and sad at the same time. What did just happen? This is one of the best Marauders Era edits I have ever seen. It is perfect. Absolutely perfect.

I think that this is the single greatest marauders edits that I have ever seen! I love all the manips and this song is PERFECT! Everything with Peter made me so sad but I love how you really show how important he was to their group, which makes his betrayal that much more heartbreaking. Thank you for your art! okay but no CAP. NO CAP this is the best marauders edit-video I've ever seen. it's all just so perfectly done, and you must have worked SO hard to find all these scenes. it's consistent, and im so happy a at you portrayed peter as a more emotional guy, because that's probably what he was. He was just scared. And i love how you showed that part of him. The same with snape. Everything was so clear and i absolutely adore all the manips. This video is amazing.

love how the song is a little ode to the first book. this edit was so good and i absolutely love your take on it. you encompassed so much in so little time and it’s astounding to see. the little details ( wolfstar, ted and andromeda, lily and marlene, the sirius and peter showdown, petunia’s sorrow ) made it all the better. thank you for creating this masterpiece.
