In 1963, hundreds of thousands of demonstrators gathered in Washington, D.C. for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. We talked to six marchers about what they remember from that day and how they feel, 57 years later, about the nationwide Black Lives Matter protests in the wake of George Floyd’s killing.

I was only 6 yrs old, but I recall how this was on all 3 network channels. It was impossible to switch away. I recall how my Dad really resented the Black Muslims sitting around the podium, dominating the picture. I watched my Dad, a product of his time and raising, as a young man not yet 30, groan and complain about how the Colored folks were making too much fuss. It was the start of my own coming to see that what I had been raised with was not the way it could be. The next year was the election pitting Johnson against Goldwater. Of course, all the talk around us was "Did we want to jump parties? As lifelong Democrats from way back, the thought of voting against our party was harsh, but the appeal of continued segregation was strong. As far as I know, that vote was the one that started The Southern Strategy. 1964 was the year it became ok to vote Republican, because the Democrats were going forward with civil rights, and many in the South wanted it just like it wasm

If you have an opposing view and haven't taken a knee don't post your comment here. It's amazing, my tax dollars to pay for this organization, and I'm censored. Affirmative action is not dead in our country.

NO REAL JUSTICE = NO PEACE. Real justice (this is spiritual justice with real freedom of expression) was made impossible in this nation by the McCollum v. Board of Education, 333 U.S. 203 (1948), 8-1 abrogating the First Amendment Rights of teachers who believe in the teachings of Jesus to teach school students the spiritual, moral, ethical and civic values taught by Jesus to His followers when He walked on this earth. Those spiritual, moral, ethical and civic values taught by Jesus according to Matthew 5:43-47, Matthew 19:18-19, Matthew 20:25-27, Matthew 22:21 and Matthew 28:20 are easy to read, to understand and to keep in mind: All students going to school and all citizens in this nation should be taught to abstain from hating anyone, abstain from killing anyone, abstain from raping anyone or any kind of sexual perversity, abstain from robbing any one, abstain from spreading lies against anyone, be proactive in honoring their mother and father and in being proactive in loving others as they love themselves and that it is the role of the government to be a servant to the welfare of all members of society, give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s (this is to pay our fair share of taxes to support basic public services expected from the government), and to God what is God’s while they have also been commissioned by our Lord Jesus Christ to go everywhere in this world including the United States of America to teach those same instructions to every man, woman and child of this planet Earth. As Americans, we have been willing to accept the social injustice that we later derive by teaching our students that we are the end product of a purposeless, unintelligent process of evolution and we are ending up with an unintelligent, purposeless way of how to have happier, safer streets in our neighborhoods. As a nation, we have been more willing to put government officials that would affirm the rights of a boy to think that he is a girl and enter into a girl's bathroom or a girl to say that she is a boy and to enter into a boy's bathroom than have our students being able to listen to the teachings of Jesus in our classrooms as quoted above stating that human race has been created as male and female as taught by Jesus in Matthew 19:4. We have been more willing to fight for the rights to own and be able to use guns than to fight for the rights of our school students to listen to the spiritual, moral, ethical and civic values taught by our Lord Jesus as quoted above. www.wsj.com/articles/two-dead-in-kenosha-shooting-police-say-11598436656

@Peter Torbay @Peter Torbay Unfortunately, those nuns used more time and more resources for God than God requests from us. When we read the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:3-17, we are going to find out that out of 7 days in a week, God only requests us to use 1 day to worship Him; the other days we could spend doing whatever we wish to do. According to Malachi 3:10, God only requests us 10% of our net income to advance His kingdom on this earth; the other 90% we could use it doing whatever we wish to do with it. Moreover, when we read God's Ten Commandments in Exodus 3-17 we are going to find out that the 1st four commandments from Exodus 20:3-11 are God's mandate on how we need to behave toward Him; the last 6th commandments from Exodus 20:12-17 is God's mandate on how we need to behave toward our fellow citizens. The problem is that with the McCollum v. Board of Education, 333 U.S. 203 (1948), 8-1 US Supreme Court abrogating the First Amendment Rights of teachers who believe in the teachings of Jesus to teach school students the spiritual, moral, ethical and civic values taught by Jesus to His followers when He walked on this earth. After 1948, it is illegal for a teacher believing in the Lord Jesus to teach interpersonal behavior matters to school students based on God's Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:12-17 as quoted by Jesus according to Matthew 19:18-19. This has generated a moral nonsense in this nation where a democrat major having homicides, looting and robberies, in her city of Chicago, would feel that it is her political duty to tell a republican US president that she should not be lectured on how to run her city and would refuse assistance from federal law enforcement agents to help bring law and order to her city; this has also brought so much moral nonsense in our nation that we have the ability to elect a US president (President Obama) that would withdraw federal funding from a school because it would not affirm the rights of a boy to think that he is a girl to enter into a girl's bathroom or a girl to say that she is a boy to enter into a boy's bathroom than to listen to the teachings of Jesus in our classrooms that we have been created as male and female as taught by Jesus in Matthew 19:4. The moral nonsense generated in this nation (by the McCollum v. Board of Education, 333 U.S. 203 (1948), 8-1 US Supreme Court) has allowed us to have school teachers believing that besides teaching their students math and science they should teach those students how to protest and affirm their rights while allowing bottles, rocks and dangerous devices to be thrown to the police in the middle of looting, robberies and setting buildings on fire. The issue is not that "I had a homeschool kid who could not read or do math!" the issue is that we should not have students who are able to read and do math and because of lack of instructions regarding interpersonal behavior as taught by God's Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:12-17 (as they were quoted by Jesus in Matthew 19:18-19), we have generated a nation of moral nonsense where a democrat dominated house of representatives would be working on an impeachment on President Trump on December 18, 1919 for a crime that only existed in the minds of democrats in the house of representatives and in the minds of a left wing politically motivated news media, bring it to the floor of a republican dominated US senate instead of having both chambers of the US Congress working together with the president to take measures that would have forced China to prevent the COVID-19 to get out of its geographical borders and later on blaming President Trump later on for doing nothing when the democrat dominated us congress and the left wing politically biased media occupied most of the White House time on matters of much less importance; with the McCollum v. Board of Education, 333 U.S. 203 (1948), 8-1 US Supreme Court decision and lack of Judeo-Christian moral values taught to students in our schools we have generated a nation of so much moral nonsense that a city major in Portland would prefer to be gassed by the police instead of defending private businesses where citizens from that city go to work to put food on the table and to pay for the taxes that allow that city mayor to get paid.
