This is all a setup for Lianfang because everything that was mentioned Lingyi already knew...so there is no way that he would turn on Shiyi because he knows her heart. He also loves his wife dearly so he won't give her up without a fight. I guarantee this is all part of some grand plan to expose Lianfang. I can't wait because the GM has spent so much time protecting Lianfang during all of her wrongdoing so when it finally comes to light she should feel like an idiot. She has never once backed Shiyi unless it was to stick it to Lianfang. She's a horrible judge of character so I really can't wait for her to see how wrong she truly was about Shiyi and Lianfang.

@@tulsi3549 yup....I would've took pleasure in it too....she was fooled by status/thought that Lianfang's birth status meant she was above reproach....she never looked at her character/beyond what Lianfang was presenting to her. She felt that she knew Shiyi's character based on Yuanniang's scheme. In her mind since Shiyi had a lowly status it meant that she was incapable of accomplishing anything....she even told her maid that they needed to keep Lianfang on deck just in case Shiyi screws up the household management. She never considered that Lianfang made such a huge mistake that nearly cost them everything. The GM was a lousy judge of character.
