Once Avengers Endgame had ended, everything somehow started to become woke and mediocre.

My personal head cannon is Thanos actually won in Avengers Endgame, not by killing the heroes, but by using the gauntlet to trap them in a labyrinth where they think they won. And in order to keep them in this matrix, Thanos sends the heroes on endless missions so that they are too preoccupied to even consider that something has gone terribly wrong. They are effectively in a maze with four interconnected walls and no doors, no exits.

Watching the decline of the MCU is like watching a friend I love wasting away from some terrible, self-inflicted disease, ignoring those who can offer a cure.

I was the Marvels. It was an decent movie. The problem was it is summer movie released in winter. Also this type of movie has been over saturated. I can tell you the Marvels was a hell of a lot better than Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Another issue with many post-Endgame films is escalation creep. The constant fate of the world, fate of the universe, now fate of the multiverse is exhausting. Having a story with smaller stakes would be a nice breather between the massive superhero teamups. Plus, these stories are completely ignoring the cities they are supposed to be rescuing and the people who living in them. That brings home what is at stake instead of some threads of CGI timelines which have little impact on the viewer.

When watching videos about Disney's failures are more fun than watching their movies.

As a black man this has summed up my feeling on the topic perfectly, I have no interest in being represented in all things at all times, I've never concerned myself with being represented I'm concerned with being represented WELL!! in projects , casts and writers that care about the story....I never felt that I couldn't ever relate to Frodo watching Lord of the Rings because he's not a 6'5 black man from the UK, representation for representations sake is dehumanising and superficial and does wider damage on a social level.....

I went from holding my breath for MCUs movies to not even realising which movies are releasing when.

When the landscape was an ocean of white male characters, it was NOT about denigrating ethnic and female characters. It was about saving everybody, irrespective of identity. The current fad of placing ethnic and female characters _explicitly to denigrate white males_ is turning into the reason why it was never a common practice before. Ya know, if I were a girl, I'd feel pretty insulted by Disney right about now. They can't even do representation justice with half-way decent writing. In fact about now, I'd probably be asking, "Is this really the best representation we can get?"

Watching the first Iron-Man movie and comparing it with what the MCU has been doing now is like if everything has been turned into a freaking parody, the difference is insane. S2 Loki might be the only thing carrying the MCU, unlike this abomination.

We want a strong male action hero like Die Hard era Bruce Willis, less jokes, more serious, more visceral. We're all tired of every action movie doing 4th wall breaks and constant humor. What happened to movies like T2, Alien, hell even Event Horizon was kick ass.

3.5 out of 5 stars movie. The post credits scene alone will change it to 4 stars. The movie fails to even take 1 minute to explain important things. Yet, wastes a number of minutes to show a way overbudget filled scenes like a world falling apart when they lose their atmosphere and another long scene that temporarily turns the movie into a musical. Yes, you heard me right. "Musical". After watching through the whole movie, I can say that the best part is some of the fight scenes. The worst part is most of the movie feels like a bunch of deleted scenes. The movie is about 2 bangles, portals, and the super powerful energy around them. And I still don't know how some "random kid" got one of the bangles. And near the end, the random kid had both bangles then went back to Earth and only had one bangle? It doesn't even explain what they did with the other bangle. And it was very hard to watch Brie Larson act like a robot with no emotion while hanging around a kid with high emotion and even harder to watch Larson go from robot to very emotional and back again a number of times. And there's so many things that weren't explained. Why were the planets covered in portal walls? No back story on the bangles at all? How on Earth did their star go dark just because an AI source was destroyed? Of the most ridiculous things ever, how can Captain Marvel fly through a star without dying? She can get knocked down from energy from a small metal bangle yet fly through a f*cking star completely unharmed. Come on, people! 🥴🥴🥴

The shining moments for both Marvel AND Star Wars, no matter what Disney dumps on them, has been one name: Jonathan Kolia Favreau He was the gambler that gave us Iron Man that everyone else snubbed. He invented The Mandalorian from whole cloth. If they want to win again, they need him to replace Kathleen Kennedy. I just hope he still cares enough to do it.

It's wild how blatant She-Hulk was about the fact that the writers just didn't care whatsoever about the characters and story, only the messages they wanted to preach. If the writers/directors/producers clearly don't care about a story, why should anyone else? I know that problem isn't exclusive to She-Hulk, especially these days, but that show in particular was so unapologetically in-your-face about it.

Marvel has a management problem. When *every* new release is poor quality despite ballooning budgets, you know something went terribly wrong with their whole production process. They rely on inexperienced directors who won't push back. The CGI is bad because they keep asking for last-minute changes. They don't actually start with a script, but rather a bunch of cool scenes the producer wants and then expect the writers to build around that. I think the producers actively resent having to rely on creative people doing good work and want to standardize the process as much as possible.

Yeah, the audience don't care anymore. It premiered today and up until 1 hour before showtime I had no sold tickets. In the end 5 people saw it (in an auditorium with a capacity of 114). I actually had more people watching Sound of Freedom on the screen next door. And to make it even funnier there was a technical memo from Disney that there might be glitches somewhere in the end credits on certain hardware. They can't even QC their stuff. It's hilariously bad. 🤣
