That hotend is what all neptune 4's should have. It was the first thing I noticed when I had my first clog on the 4. That weird sized block with the heater too close to the heat break. I wonder if this hot end assembly will fit my neptune 4

Impressive. Elegoo is knocking it out of the park on their FDM printers lately. I was particularly glad to see accelerometers on the Neptune 4 Max to optimize input shaping for each user's installation. That and WiFi were on my wish list for the Neptune 4 Pro. I have the Neptune 4 Pro, which has steel rollers on steel rails, and I'm waiting for Elegoo to launch the Neptune 4 Pro Max. I think an all steel motion system on such a large printer will help with print quality at higher speeds, although the print quality in this video of the Neptune 4 Max with the acetyl V rollers looks very good. I also think steel rollers and rods should be more reliable in the long term when printing fast on such a large machine.
@WildRoseBuilds

YES! really impressed with how well Elegoo is keeping up with these fdm printing trends. now they just have to squeeze a planetary extruder in their machines! I think linear rails would be the ultimate motion system for a big printer, but i think the cost is a little high to integrate those. at least for now we have easy reparability with the v slot wheels. Thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts!

@@WildRoseBuilds - The Neptune 4 Pro is only $40 more than the Neptune 4 and has steel rollers on steel rails and a segmented heat bed, so the steel motion control cost can't be too much more than acetyl V rollers. Do it, Elegoo! Do it now! :-)

How is the bed leveling? I started FDM printing with the Ender 3 Max and it has been an absolute nightmare even after upgrading the springs and adding a CR Touch. I have been using Elegoo resin printers for about a year now and want another FDM, but the leveling worries me.

Happy to see the printer performing well, but sad to see these features are not present on the 4 or 4 PRO. @Clips_For_Life I haven't needed the height yet but I have filled the bed with smaller stuff. I also run a small 3D print business as a side hustle. It would be great for helmets, armor, props, large articulating models. The Neptune 4 Plus would probably be good enough if you are torn between the Max and the Pro.

First let me say thank you for your video. Second now I am even more confused about which printer to go with. I am a newbie to all this and I was already looking into the Bamboo Carbon X only because it was the multicolor FDM printer that kept coming up the most. How does this compare to the Elegoo Neptune 4 MAX besides the obvious feature, larger bed size? I would like to print helmets without making the sacrifice of downsizing anything with little effort. (Dont we all?). Thanks.

And damn you Elegoo for doing the Neptune 3 Max and people like me saying wow I must get that? Then they wait until a couple of months of selling goes by and without any pre-warning bring out this new Neptune 4 Max with klipper for the same cost. So why am I upset and cursing Elegoo? Because they allowed us to buy the Neptune 3 Max Non Klipper non 300 C hot end version then did the new 4 Max version with those two features I needed. So now I got a 3 Max which is not klipper not all metal hot end and sucks compared to the 4 Max and if I known they would be releasing the better 4 Max I would have saved the money and waited a little longer for this one which is 100% better than my 3 Max. So damn you Elegoo for getting us to buy a less good version then without any advertising or warning you do the better 4 Max. That means since I have not the spare money or spare room for this 4 Max, I have to get a Klipper BTT Pad 7 and try to klipper my 3 Max. so much trouble and extra stress which all could have been solved if they told us the better 4 Max Klipper one was coming out soon after my now pointless 3 Max. So damn you Elegoo.

My 4pro sucks running marlin, I will try klipper soon but it’s inconvenient to route the lan cable and I don’t want to fuss with the issues of the wifi dongles.
