Each letter represents a number. In the Bible it says... In the beginning was the word. In the book of formations it says... From God comes numbers, letters and words. In fact, the earliest languages were Gematria languages. It's an old practice, as old as the first civilization. It goes back to Babylon. It's an old code... Did you honestly like how the Merovingian was turned into some homeless guy, screaming during the first fights? Did you like the inferior choreography? The lack of philosophical ideas compared to the first? The sloppy scenes of zombies falling out of buildings? The embarrassing dialogue in many scenes? And plenty more. This entire movie was actually a mockery of the originals. That's the point. This movie was about making fun of the Matrix, and it was poorly done. When I first saw this in the cinema, I could've sworn the agent that says "You were warned, lieutenant" was Agent Thompson from Reloaded played by Matt McColm, but apparently, he is Agent White who appears in Matrix: Path of Neo. I also read once that he replaced Smith as lead Agent after his defeat at the end of the first film before the original Agents were replaced by the Upgrades. The third modal Agent is apparently Agent Brown from the original film, even though he's played by a different actor and looks nothing like him. Agent Jones is non-existent inside the modal and White replaces him.

I stayed up until it released on HBO Max (3 AM EST) and I had to rewatch the opening because of how fast it was. First viewing was disorienting but after figuring out what was happening I had a blast.

It’s just a byproduct of them (Lana etc) genuinely not caring, no points or admiration should be given for it being a profound intentional choice\meta narrative in this regard. It’s almost spiteful actually. Very unfair on all the talented people who were involved that obviously took this seriously and worked hard. Like a bad cake; the ingredients here were good, the recipe by way of a lousy chef just wasted them.

I think the majority of fans were expecting the movie to focus on the brokered peace between humans and machines, which is where #3 ended. We got too much of the past and very little of anything new except for the special effects.

Somehow I think more people were crying about the special effects and lack of kung fu. Lets be honest, if the first movie didnt look like a karate movie, people would have ignored it because they dont like to think. There's alot going in this movie, but not enough action, this wont work for today's average viewer. You're actual fans are still fans.

I watched the whole movie (I'll never get that time back). It was one of those movies that you say to yourself, "Its gonna get better" and you end up saying that right to the end. I like Keanu Reeves but the writers, director, and editors, and producers dropped the ball. Bummer.

@@shamansshed9003 just don't say they're "taking a piss" because here in the USA that's means they are reliving themselves of liquid bodily waste :) Does "taking a piss" mean anything different in Britain? Like if I'm in a bar and I say "be right back, gotta go take a piss" would someone say "but you're already doing that?" in which case I would lmao :)

1:28 water dropplets on right side of screen looks like matrix code because your seeing the reflection through the water ......i almost find myself doing this sometimes in real life to see if something is going to make a mistake :D i cant help it

The Wachowskis did not want another Matrix movie, When Warner Brothers decided to make one anyway. Lana Wachowski decided to direct so she would have some control over it. I suspect she didn't really care if it was successful or not.

I wish they would have taken a different approach like start Resurrections right after Rovolutions showing us what happened to Neo, then plugging Neo back in and resetting the Matrix putting the war on hold for a short time. Later show us the inner workings of the machine world and the Architects objective. Rather than rehashing the same old stuff

One of The Best WB intro titles ever. Almost up there with the original matrix movie and can Give Man Of Steels WB Intro title a run for its money. The sound design was awesome.

When watching the Matrix movies, it's better to think of them as a metaphor to better understand them. This Matrix movie is a metaphor for two people who fell in love as 30 somethings hooked up for a while but broke up. She got married and had two kids. He went on to create a successful software company but remained a bachelor. He tried to medicate himself to forget but he couldn't. They randomly met in a coffee shop one day fell back in love. She remembered she liked banging dudes that looked like Keanu Reeves. She decides to leave her husband and kids. The End. It's actually a decent middle aged love story if you just forget about the whole Sci fi Matrix element.

instead of rehashing a complete trilogy, it might have been better to do a sequal to Johnny Mnemonic (1995) - also starring Keanu Or if they were REALLY adventurous and competant.....could have done a trilogy exploring how mankind got into the mess in the first place (robot matrix) and who were the first ones to wake up. Also more details pertaining to the 'Neo/chosen one' prophecy.

Ellen Hollman was great in the first ten minutes as the Echo Trinity! Too bad she wasn't in the rest of the film, that would have made an interesting conversation about identity, reality and consciousness if she met the original Trinity. Neo ran the modals to see if a program would gain sentience if faced with the same situation over and over. Modal Morpheus almost went insane and was assigned as Agent Smith. A lot of possible story points left unexplored, sadly
