Aloha!🤙🏻 I'm flattered! Thank you. I pinned your video on my X account (if that is okay with you). I am no longer at Discord because I will soon focus all my energy on my last college semester, but I must admit that Discord is "very" addicting. Lol! This seems a simplified version of the wheel strategy, which may make sense for people that begins high yield investing. I already have a more diversified portfolio, and June will be the first month I plan to fully implement the wheel. I am glad to see that you recommend IWMY, which seems a bit controversial, and AIPI, that I plan to buy. Thanks for sharing both strategies.

Hi Steve. Regarding taxes. I moved some $$ for the last 3 years from IRA to Roth IRA. Yes, you pay taxes when you transfer $ but in my case it was worth it. Now, I can enjoy dividends free of taxes forever! My strategy is to have a regular account with qualified dividends only so you pay only 15 to 20% taxes.

MAUI/YUMI method is interesting. Personally, I like having more diversified exposure like what XDTE and QDTE provide which trade options on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100. They have been paying weekly dividends at a variable 15%-30% distribution rate which can be reinvested/compounded weekly into something more impressive. It would be nice to see other weekly dividend ETFs come out to have more options.

I stick to never sell any share never. I work like hell last 12 months to bulid 1600$ monthly income. I will hold them forever. I would like to buy big possition in ulty but see nav decay all the time. M.a.u.i strategy is much easier to bulid 5000$ a month than roundhil or more low paying funds right? For me mission of my life to get 5000$ a month. Later i can use div to buy more stable shares no?

@SoCalStevo

FEPI would be fine, but NVDY wouldn't pay in the same weeks as IWMY or ULTY. The big idea is to have a fund paying each week, and ideally it would be the highest yielder of that weeks group.

IWMY has gone down by 28% in a year. So if you bought it at 20.80 you would have lost $2,800 plus of the dividends you received you have to pay taxes which would be up to 35% or more. If IMWY keeps declining at the same rate you could be done another 28% in a year until it does a reverse split to keep from being delisted, I own 2807 shares and so far have lost $3200 on the NAV and received $2953 ( taxes will be -$907) in dividends. Bought in early May. If the NAV does not erode it could turn out to be a good investment after 3 months of dividends and beyond. Also own ULTY and the NAV erosion is a bit larger than IWMY.

Total return is positive since inception.
@multimedialearning7110
@multimedialearning7110 2 ай бұрын
@@SoCalStevo correct, If you bought at inception date and held up to today you would have made $2090 on an original purchase of 1000 shares(purchase price minus current price plus dividends) . With no DRIP. If you take out a 35% tax you made a profit ( for reinvestment etc) of $1358. So you made about 10% on your money before taxes for the 8 months you owned IWMY. If the NAV had not gone down you would have made over $8,000 in dividends or a 40% profit.
@sneakywan
@sneakywan 2 ай бұрын
Yeah, too much NAV erosion sucks even in high income ETFs because it ultimately = dead money that didn't really return anything in the best case scenario in tax free account. The focus shouldn't be taking dead money trades just for the sake of filling every week with "income", that's a less profitable strategy than just picking the best regardless of the week.

Steve. I also heard and there are some videos on YT that if market is your major income (no W2) you can incorporate, pay SS and more regular taxes and deduct your expenses. You might be incorporated with your rental properties already. You might consider watching the YT videos and talk to a good CPA.
