Those are interpretations that people use, but that's very much not original. It's something that varies a lot and is subjective to individual taste, and doesn't apply universally.

I'm pointing out that these interpretations are not inherent to heraldry, and so shouldn't be taken for granted that the colours (or indeed symbols) are meant to have a meaning at all. In some cases colours and symbols had political or familial associations rather than allegorical ones, or having relations to particular intended emotional symbology. In others they're just convenient colours to make the coat of arms stand out. In some cases they're part of a visual pun that doesn't work in modern English, or are part of someone's personal taste rather than being selected for a meaning. In some cases a particular colour is there merely to contrast with another element of the arms, or because its the nearest heraldic colour to the natural form of the charge in question. Basically you can't look at someone else's arms and interpret the colours as being intended to have a specific meaning unless that intent is noted in the original grant or some writing associated with the original assumption of the arms. Even more so because there are dozens of different lists that claim to be "the" meaning of colours and charges, and they all clash to a greater or lesser degree.

It's very hard for me to decide on true "favorites" but salamanders, the Vlka Fenryka, and the Raven Guard are some of my top contenders. White scars are way up there too, they never get enough love. What melee weapon from 40k would you most like to wield? There is a painting of Fulgrim (the traitor, ptui) with a beautiful flamberge zweihander, and I'm crazy for wavy blades.

I think it's a contractual obligation to say Chainsword. Is there really another first choice? After that, a Guardian Spear is my personal favorite.

Heraldry is just an early form of trademark, so as long as nobody else has the same blazon, he can freely use them. At least in Britain, matters of heraldry and its use are judged in the High Court of Chivalry (though rarely sits, still legally exists). I don't think Germany has anything similar so technically, it will go to the ordinary civil court under trademarks and copyright law.
