@@vulturedrawz Just to comment on this: Folklore often over exaggerates things and people in the past did not have comparisons to make when they saw large animals. Most people probably believed elephants were far larger than they actually were by how people described them in writings and likewise, if you saw a colossal squid especially under water you'd probably misinterpret how big it actually is by just looking upon it with fear and awe from a crappy wooden boat.

The "Could have Evolved into" arguement runs into the issue of Megalodon still being extinct, as evolving into a different species, means it's not Megalodon anymore, anyways. Megamouth is also a animal that rarely comes to the surface during the day. And once we knew to look, we've seen it several times.

what i asked my self, if megalodon swam down into the depths, managed to have a population, managed to find a food source, lets say a giant crab cause why the hell not, the megaldon would cease to be the megalodon everyone wants to find, at that point, a giant IF , if it is even one at all, you would've discovered a new shark species taht fed on a completely different food source, that would be way smaller due to lack of food and would be blind if most theories of it being in the deep ocean would say.

Here is another reason for Bermuda Triangle: The reason the Bermuda Triangle has a lot of conspiracy theory's about how ships that go through it will not make it out is because of the big amount of ships that go through it for international trade so therefor, its not just because of how deep the Bermuda Triangle it is also that if that many ships go through it, it would have most likely been found by sailors already.

Keep in mind Meg was a coastal specialist (with adults living along the continental shelf, pups and juveniles living along the coastlines), so going unnoticed for the entirety of human history after their fossil record drops off about 3.6 mya is impossible, plus there’s verifiable fossil evidence that baleen whales got larger AFTER the extinction of Otodus megalodon (plus the macroraptorial sperm whales like Livyatan but they disappeared roughly 6 mya at the end of the Miocene), partly due to (direct and indirect) competition and predation from orcas, plus competition with juveniles from great white sharks in coastal areas that were Meg nurseries, as well as climactic changes that occurred as the Pliocene chugged onward towards the glacial cycles of the Pleistocene

I have a Creationist view on it, but it still makes sense That, and modern whales were the only ones left from the Great Flood (which not only resulted in continental drifts, but also mass displacement of sediment) and modern whales are faster, so Meg wouldn't have kept up AND the mating sights were changed. Berate me all you want, but Creationism is one of the largest scientific faiths out there right next to Evolution. And yes, I pretty much called Evolution a faith/religion because it's a religion of chance and you guys SERIOUSLY defend Evolution like a Christian defends the Bible, or a Muslim defends the Quran. And the main Evolution Bible is *Origin of Species* by Charles Darwin, so....

As @@ferociousrazordino3581 said. You can't really leave your phylogeny. If it came from a dinosaur it can always technically be considered a dinosaur. But all modern birds are derived from a very small group of dinosaurs, so birds are all pretty much equally related to other dinosaurs. Megalodon is a species. You don't need a boom mic for interviewing someone, you'd use a lapel mic. A Boom mic is for picking up sound over distance like that of a movie set.
