That was the best part of my time in the Bundeswehr (= German Army). Dashing through the wilderness with a MAN gl 7t 6×6 during a maneuver. Especially when you had a couple of young conscripts in the driver's cab who turned white as chalk when going through a mud hole almost 4 meters deep. Man, I really miss that.

Difference between getting the option of driving a Lambo and this: With the Lambo, you're wondering "Hm, will I be able to drive with the roads out here? Will it bottom out? Will it get stuck on a bump?" With a Zetros: "Roads? Who needs roads?"

If you love big off-road trucks like these, you definitely have to check out the MAN KAT 1. They come as 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 and are build by the company MAN (Maschinenfabrik Augsburg Nürnberg). They are basically the Zetros’ big brother. Please keep doing these reaction videos, I love your somewhat childish exitement and open minded approach to foreign trucks and cars . Up where I'm from in Far North Queensland, there are...or maybe were because I think they've finally laid the corrugated concrete on all the steep bits... dirt sections of the Bloomfield Track that are as steep, or steeper. Almost impassable in the Wet, but tourists and some locals still attempt it. Another steep track is the old CREB Track. A challenge in the Dry, and smart people don't even think about it during the Wet season. All dirt. Extremely steep gradients. Worth doing a KZfaq search for the CREB Track, Ian.

i usually don't really like big trucks much but the Rheinmetall MAN HX 8X8 and 10x10 are very cool especially in the desert looking camo.

fyi, Perkins Engineering ( Larry Perkins, former super car champ ) developed an over drive system for the unimogs here in aus, as he has one, and was sick of it screaming its tits off at max speed of 90 odd kmh.. unimog bought the idea!!

My dream 'home on wheels' manifested in my thoughts when I first saw (I think) a Daihatsu or Isuzu 6WD long-nose truck. I thought from that day that if I won a lottery, I'd buy a 6WD drive bare tray chassis and build the most kick-arse, go-anywhere self-contained/sufficient truck that my winnings could build.

Merc makes some wonderful cars and trucks. They are among the top best producer. There are other brands too. But not many can compete with Merc. I love your Unimog hat man! I want one too 🤣😂, Of course, I prefer to drive one of these heavy-duty Mercs before any car. I have driven a Volvo TGB13 6X6 in the Military, and that was fun. I also drove a Hagglunds Tracked Wagon 202. That was crazy fun because it could swim.

2:15 Kinda looks like a Mad-Max'd G-Wagon. With its wheels removed and put on some huge truck-chassis. You can almost imagine Bier Baron from Brew Town behind the wheel.

I recomend you to watch Tatra rally. They race in some slalom races and they are really fast and really powerfull like 1150hp and 3500Nm of torque. If you search for it, you wont be disapointed.

I have a zetros 6x6.. The truck is the best thing I have owned. It's unbelievable offroad, but it comes with absolute comfort. Mercedes built this to be unique and nothing like any other mercedes road truck. Zetros was built for one purpose, where other trucks are 95% on road vehicles with the option to go off road. I will never sell my truck. They are now €250,000 - 300,000 to buy incl vat. Great video 👍

These are loved in 🇱🇹 Lithuanian military 😊. For wha reason I don't know but we have a lot of mercedes benz trucks MB unimog's, zetros, 90's actros personally I think MAN HX sieris is better today and Kat 1 was a better truck back in 80's and 90's. If you like big rigs you maybe interested in modern europien tractors? 🤔 I can give you an example Fendt 1050 vario see what you think. 👍🏻🤙🏻

Coolest Behemoth I ever saw was an OshKosh 10 x 10 . Looked like a Centipede crawling over stuff . The Zetros looks a LOT like the Sterling HN series Highway Trucks . Yes , handsome Units .

When You have time take a look at Kamaz trucks. Since 2000 they only won the Dakar Rally 18 (!) times. This year they didn't participate due to sickening politics, making this the 5th time a Kamaz NOT winning there.

you know what - i've never seen these type of trucks in convoys from the s.c. "Bundeswehr" ... they use the UNIMOG and several models of mercedes benz for transport and so on... I guess these are produced for export only - anyways ... they're cool - but they'd probably deliver the same problems to the front, like German Tanks and FLAKS and all these technical masterpieces do. Take a look at Ucraine ,.. they now have Leopard-Tanks and self propelled Artillery from Germany and the EU... They do NOT work, because of lack of spare parts, that can not be delivered on time... What kind of weapon is that, that cannot be used, when necessary? It was the same in WW-II ... German tanks were too complicated and susceptible for technical issues - so they are today. too much technical carnival for way too untrained personell. :)
