your hair looks perfect in this bun, my hair is quite long and straight, its difficult to get this messy look (even when curled) without it looking a complete mess on my hair, I think for it to work, you need a hair length like yours.

Gently stretch the band out before your try to put it in your hair. (Sort of like stretching a balloon before blowing it up.) This will loosen the elastic so that when you put it in your hair, it doesn't break. :) Hope this helps!

Kate, I love all the great new ways I'm wearing my hair now -- because of all your easy tutorials. I just wish my hair could do these things on the second or third day after shampooing and curling. Any advice? Usually by the second day, my hair is heavier, stiffer and straighter and doesn't look good or manipulate as well.

But what would be helpful to see is how to style with wet hair that is quick when you need to run out the door without looking like a wet rat...like on daylight savings Monday.... My hair is just long enough to put in a 3" ponytail and textured. I'd appreciate it!! :)

I'm in the military and have to do a bun every day :( could you do a tutorial of like bed head buns? If that makes sense... Lol I have horrible cowlicks and I hate to straighten them down every single day just to out it up.
