Just picked up the same version. Got it for 275 on eknives since it was my first purchase with them. Hopefully the knife is worth it I’m just now seeing a lot of people complaining about the heat treat and the metal being soft. Just my luck lol

Great video! I actually just found an aluminum fluted with the plain edge apocalyptic blade! I'm camping by my mailbox for the next week!

I have some nice knives, a good collection of Chris Reeve and Medford but this Microtech may very well be the best $300 knife I have ever owned. Benchmade has D2 plastic knives with zero innovation for over $200… this knife has a new locking mechanism, beautiful build, outstanding materials - I think it’s THE $300 knife! I would pay closed to $500 if it cost that…

I agree 100 percent. I couldn’t believe the aluminum is the same price as g10. Microtech is killing the game with these now we just need a titanium frame/liner lock version 😂

@Southernknife_addict Man, a production version of the titanium frame lock stitch would be sweet. Since I'm throwing hopes around, they could also make a button actuated liner/compression lock stitch. I love me a crisp detent

Just got one! Passed on the aluminum and went with the G10 fluted. The fact that they're the same price made it a hard decision

It’s your money bro but should have gone with the aluminum. I’m holding out for this one. I need an amphibian and msi in aluminum handles too but this will suffice

It's not just aluminum it's 7075 which is WAY TOUGHER than 6061 which is the aluminum that is used on most knives!! Actually 7075 is Tougher than Grade 2 Ti 👊🏼

Yeah I saw somebody taking about that. It’s crazy they charge the same for that as the g10 the scales are milled exceptionally good as well Really makes it a killer deal for 300 imo

The blade thickness is .19 on both on some sites and others say the ram lok is .16. Overall they’re very very close to the same in hand

I might do one. They’re actually pretty simple once you get in. Basically a benchmade with a slightly different lock.

The aluminum version is a lot better in my opinion. Feels more premium and the action is better.

After handling both the aluminum version feels like a completely different knife lol. Now we just need them to do it on the msi 😂

Sick blade. Have the aluminum scale version on my wishlist everywhere and been practicing my wallet quick draw. Any tips on how to get one? Its wishlisted on DLT already.

I found this one in the “back in stock” section. I’d do restock alerts on all of them and really it just comes down to luck lol. Good news is they’re pumping these out like crazy so I’d say you’ll bet one soon. Best of luck!

Good wiha bits some muscle and some luck lol. I wouldn’t go crazy with heat on the coated aluminum but the hardware is tooled nice so it wasn’t too bad
