Just picked up the same version. Got it for 275 on eknives since it was my first purchase with them. Hopefully the knife is worth it I’m just now seeing a lot of people complaining about the heat treat and the metal being soft. Just my luck lol

Good wiha bits some muscle and some luck lol. I wouldn’t go crazy with heat on the coated aluminum but the hardware is tooled nice so it wasn’t too bad

I would have bought one at blade show this year but still no over travel stops on the lock bar, and the hardware is still sourced overseas. Other than that I've heard really good things about his heat treatment on magnacut.

just snagged one on sale for $160 before they went out of stock immediately after. dope knife. the thinner packaging for the WMK militaw you said you prefer is for kizer's "vanguard" line which are their mid range knives (anything with 154cm and similar steels). their more premium offerings (s35vn and up) still come in the bigger magnetic box with with the flaps and a kizer pouch. The screws on the DLC version are just a typical pvd coating, the only DLC is on the blade. also if you take one of the scales off there is a hole under each inlay to easily pop them out with a finger. Thanks for the overview!

I got one and it checks all the boxes but for some reason it just didnt do it for me. I sold it. Maybe it was the top liner lock? The Truffles knife has a similar lock however and i havent been able to put down.

Holy cow that looks sick. I'm not a huge fan of front flippers but I can tell through the video that the action is incredibly smooth. Love the fat carbon as well. Kizer is always coming out with some bad ass knives.

Got my first SBD just a couple of days ago and this model caught my eye. How is the reverse flick? I got a bowie blade mini tempest and its very hard to consistently get it to flick open.

It 100x better than the mini tempest it feels like it was actually made to be reverse flicked lol. I’ve had a Bowie and drop point tempest and the drop point is much easier to reverse flick. I like the Bowie look better though.

Just got mine, have heard complaints by some… i feel sorry fir anybody who cant be happy with theirs, mine is absolutely perfect. It flicks open perfectly, no lock rock or any other issues period. Anyone not liking the way they open needs to improve their “SELF”

You mentioned you added lock bar pressure to increase the detent. How do you do that? My Evo 4 seems stuck in the closed detent, and I want to decrease the lock bar pressure. My first thought was to loosen the pivot, but I found it was not at all tight. My seller from eBay mentioned I should tighten up the pivot (per the designer), but that didn't work. I hope to swap out the included spare pivot and bearings to see if i can get it better. As it is, I cannot even flick it open with one hand. It does of course open, but overall, at this point, I am disappointed.

Are you making sure to not put pressure on the lock bar when you’re opening the knife? If you’re fingers on the lock bar it pushes the detent into the blade and locks the knife down how you’re describing. All you do when adding pressure to the lock bar is ever so slightly bend it farther in. If you do the opposite and bend it out too far it can cause lockup issues where the blade may not stay locked open

At first I was really disappointed with my 80’s camo carbon kaviso mini tempest(front flipper version), but as I’ve gotten to know the knife it’s become one of my all time favorite knives Ps how does the psyop compare to their rskaos? Bc I like the rskaos for fidgeting, but find it to heavy and bulky to edc

I like the psyop a lot more. The patterned version is slightly chunky but I like that. The contoured version would probably be more for you if you want something slimmer/lighter

What tf??? I didn’t know they put a brass BUTTON on this version. Guess I shoulda gone with the “pattern” version. I bought the black “curved” version and it has all the exact same brass accents EXCEPT for that button (my buttons black). I thought the frag pattern being under the clip would be tough on the pocket and the smooth one looked well….smoother. Wish my button was brass tho what a gyp.

I’d say opening packages wouldn’t be an issue it would be a laser beam for tape and cardboard. Much more than that may be an issue though being honest
