I was really intrigued to test out explosive payload + frenzy, but to my surprise my shiny midnight coup with explosive payload + kinetic tremors rolled with frenzy as another option!

See I prefer Firefly on this gun because I see it as an add clear gun. I still think Adept Warden's Law is the go to for heftier targets if you have it. I'll collect both though for whatever situation.

Honestly? For content with really high add density and high health targets I do think Explosive + One for All is the way to go. Since you're not going to be killing targets in one shot with frenzy and tremors won't really activate on anything short of a high health target it's going to be active very frequently and do MORE damage while active. It is a change in playstyle for most people but I think it might be the most mathematically optimal roll.

I agree with you. Firefly sucks big balls! Explosive payload and Kinetic Tremor is the best combo as of right now for the 140 rpm HC King.

For easy content firefly+OFA is insane

as an original og coup junkie i farmed 109 coups, had capped coins too waitin for it.. kept 2 Golden one for pvp one for pve. Pvp roll > smallbore / accurized / explosive or movin target / zen moment or opening shot and Pve roll > smallbore / accurized or tactical / explosive or firefly / one for all or frenzy ... the latter obtained about 35 hours ago and already is on 5k kills

I just got explosive frenzy and I like it for single targets but the explosive one for all can be procd off of just two enemies and I could proc it from complete safety. I don't have to wait for the buff to turn on so they both have great benefits. I guess there really is no perfect roll for everything . Explosive kinetic paired with severing burst from strand is nice also !

Firefly is a reload perk with AoE. Throwing One for All in as a damage perk makes it so well rounded. I'm rarely ever using primary on something other than a red bar

Explosive payload rampage is my fav as it renews on kill and after one kill your already almost on par with frenzy 2nd shot your doing more damage

desperate measures proceed 20% dmg from just un-powered melee and 30% off 2, and it last 7secs and can be refreshed of weapon kills. perk is s-tier

Definitely love midnight coup. I have many rolls for many builds. Currently rocking EP + DM on my Midnight Coup with arrowhead brake and flared magwell on a reload mw. The build is a contraverse voidlock. Grenades and explosions everywhere. Im using Telesto even though the BiS energy void will always be Buried Bloodline. Midnight Coup will be the star of the show.

Firefly explosions proc One for All so it’s pretty epic

I got a shiny with arrowhead, accurized/apended, firefly/attrition, and desperate/frenzy. It’s nice to have firefly + desperate for ability loadouts and firefly + frenzy for non ability builds

I deleted all drops because of low range. I finally got an explosive payload with zen moment and range MW. I got a similar range on another with outlaw and kinetic tremors. Those are worth keeping.

Great video as always. Also if you are looking for a PVP godroll, zen moment + explosive payload is the way. I test like 10 different rolls with moving target, opening shot, rampage and so and so... but ZM +EP is the goat. Firefly + Chromatic Fire is fun for double explosions, but I feel it's better on a Hung Jury, since you can keep your distance from ARs.

When Lunas howl releases I’m going for a pvp roll and pve Healclip incandescent for sure.

I really like firefly + Kinect tremors for medium level content because of the easy ad clear and also being able to deal with yellow bars. But I do understand that for harder content you're absolutely right

I've been using Seraph revolver with timed payload. For a 180 it feels very good.

Thank you for saying this! A lot of God Roll videos only talk about numbers and percentages and don't acknowledge that some perks really require you to change up your playstyle like One for All. I'm not bellow learning new techniques, but I don't feel like remembering to do a little quirk with some random roll weapon like hitting separate targets or crouching before I reload to get the full benefit.

I just think Rampage is easier to proc than either OFA or KT. I know Ranpage starts with less of a bonus, but I would think it would have more overall uptime than any of the damage boosters due to ease of use

I'm gonna have to disagree that EP+Frenzy is the godroll for difficult content. At 8:42 you took 11 shots at a red bar Centiurion and it still did not die. With EP+Kinetic Tremors, that Centurion, along with any trash mobs around it, would've died.

This is super late but one for all + firefly has been incredible for me, get a fast reload with a precision kill and if the blast from firefly hits other targets, +35% damage for a solid time.

I am returning to Destiny after 2 years of not playing, was looking for a video with absolutely necessary weapon to craft for Engame pve right now (gms, Master Raids - both add clear and boss phases). I am steal overwhelmed with this new crafting system. And there are so many new guns. Like I understand I need to craft Heritage and rocket launcher from last wish, midnight coup, mounting top for sure. Watching destiny youtubers who played all these past seasons and their videos - CRAFT THIS NOW - and it is like for every new gun. I got firefly one for all and explosive one for all. I want a tremor one for all. I know it doesn’t proc faster but why not have a damage boost from explosive and after 6 shots kinetic tremors goes off. I need that roll for tanky enemies. Pairs well with the special ammo side arms like indebted kindnesses

While I appreciate your final analysis in the Hypernet, I'm not so sure it's a relevant use case. Against solar-shielded Cabal, I think most people would use, in order of preference (and depending on artifact mods), Skyburner, Sunshot, Polaris Lance, Ticcu's Divination, or even Prometheus' Lens. I don't know anyone who would use a kinetic HC in that situation. Now, if it were the Birthplace of the Vile, or one of the coil pathways where there are a ton of isolated, mid-range engagements, with unshielded, hard-to-crit adds (like Vex) and plenty of cover...

I really like the feel of Midnight Coup, always have, even more than Fatebringer if I'm being honest, I'm still looking for that explosive payload frenzy roll on Midnight Coup though.

I like Kinetic Tremors/ Explosive Payload and Explosive Payload / Frenzy because sometimes you don't want to get up and personal with mobs. I love the combo on my Hung Jury I will start shooting from a distance and hopefully clear a few mobs before my team gets in range of the mobs and they can take them out quickly. Love your review.

KT plus AO (aside from KT/FF) is probably the most "all rounder" combo for this gun. I've never been a fan of damage perks on weapons as the way D2 is spaced out, a lot of times the damage perks will fall off (unless you're raiding, or doing battlegrounds or similar with HD ads). Getting a free orb or two via shooting beefier targets is worth more to me than being able to kill trash ads quicker; also, the KT stuns/staggers most enemies in the game three times when it procs.

Alloy mag Maven!! It’s a reload scalar instead of a flat increase to the reload stat. You’re already going to be having frenzy up and dumping all shots in your mag into either ads or a major.

I got attrition orbs and kinetic. Not bad at all!

The only shiny Coup I've gotten is Explosive/Enlightened and KT/Frenzy in 3rd and 4th columns. Got lucky I guess. It's not perfect as far as barrels etc, but I don't have to farm it anymore.

i got an Explosive Payload + Tremors shiny last saturday

After messing with most/all of the great rolls, can confirm that Explosive Payload/One For All is the absolute boss! In 10 yrs of Destiny, I don't actually recall a legendary primary, better than the Coup with this roll. (*have been using mostly in Onslaught)

attrition orbs is based on mag size its 67% rounded down plus 2 it is good on weapons with high firerate low mag ie the new multimach which can get attrition orbs and kinetic tremors; what you should have tested was if kinetic tremors could proc attrition orbs as it would only need to hit 2 enemies to proc attrition this is where they synergise as its is a small mag size when relative to breakneck or multimach

Personally Ive always been a big proponent of OFA, I was a bit surprised to learn you didnt like it! I can see the logic in your reasoning though, it makes sense. As much as I love my EP/Frenzy Fatebringer, I think Im still gonna set my sights on a Firefly/OFA roll for Midnight Coup, just for something different but still effective. I'll definitely keep an eye out for a good Kinetic Tremors roll for GMs tho, that looks killer. Thanks for showing the weapons in action so thoroughly!

I spent hrs and hrs and hrs chasing the Firefly, One for all. And when I finally got it it doesnt feel near as good as my Explosive Payload, One for All. Its hard to beat the 35% dmg buff. And in something like Onslaught it's so easy to keep One for All procked. Much Much easier than I originally expected. I get what you're saying about frenzy's uptime. But I honestly feel like one for all being over double the dmg and being easy as hell to prock might equate to more dmg overall. Def Needs testing tho.

What I don't really like about frenzy is that you have to be looking for ads constantly if not the perk goes away, and to reproc it takes too long for my taste

It's Kinetic, so the damage from this will fill up both transcendence bars on prismatic!

It can only be the King of Kinetic Handcannons. Energy Hand Cannons are their own beast. You have to factor in what specials they can pair with, and energy weapons can pair with Mountain Top

Going to have to agree to disagree on the Explosive Payload + One For All roll. The splash from EP can and will proc OFA. Especially when chunking away at a Major. Minors usually huddle around majors and I’ve splashed them a lot over the past few days instantly procing OFA.

Even though Midnight Coup is undoubtedly one of the best legendary kinetic primaries, I still just can't bring myself to use, well... Legendary kinetic primaries. The global +15% DMG really doesn't make up for the lack of subclass synergy and the absolutely pitiful elemental shield damage. If I am running a GM, I'm just going to use an Exotic as my workhorse or use double special. Hell, with the likes of Indebted Kindness I really have to force myself to use legendary primaries at all these days. My Supremacy lives rent-free in my kinetic slot.

Actually you can proc something called one for all times 2 off of just two enemies or you could just go back and forth between two enemies if they're really far away from one another , but when does that ever happen ?

Legendary primary weapons are kinda not worth the time to farm cuz you are throwing in gms if you are not using an exotic weapon for ad clear. I would recommend farming the new special and heavy weapons such as edge transit and falling guillotine if your time is limited.

If I could only get a good shiny godroll. I always get a shiny sniper instead lol
