When they believe you trustworthy, they'll treasure your face and voice in their mind, and let you hug and pet them. It's a pity that so many people misunderstood them.

I wake up to their sounds every morning in late fall and then again in spring. I believe it's the same 30 or 40 that graze on our river front property. It's lovely.

SOME bits of fun and laughter (funnier SOBER, I assure you........the 'staarnova' who commented here a year ago). MOSTLY VERY INTERESTING and I THANK YOU, David Smith. I LOVE THESE GEESE, too. I painted them when I was a child. My Dad (a former Air Force pilot) introduced me to LISTENING FOR THEM and WATCHING & MARVELLING at their flight. "THE HONKERS" seem to like to spend a LOT OF THEIR SOUTHERN time away from OH , CANADA...............on lakes and ponds in & near Texarkana, Texas & or Arkansas. P.S. The colours and cinematography of your video is WORLD -CLASS A+++

Thank you for sharing. My five-year-old was startled by and fairly terrified of migrating geese that flew overhead while she was playing. I tried to explain migration to her, but your video did a far better job.

When she sees them, and hears their -evil laughter- honking, she should -run for her life- do nothing about it. I -Absolutely know why- do not know why she is -rightfully so- terrified of -Dinosaurs- Canada Geese.
@toddboyce3599 Жыл бұрын
A few thousand years ago, after Canada declared independence from the UK, a great wizard named Tim Horton drew evil out of the souls of every Canadian, and it all condensed to form a new -Threat- species of -Dinosaur- Goose: The Canada Goose. And that is why Canadians are addicted to Tim Hortons, very kind, but their native -Dinosaur- animal species is so -Murderous- cruel. (Both comments are a joke.)

I figured away to tell a male Canada Goose from a female Canada Goose. For starters; males are a little bigger and appears a tad heavier. Their black tail feathers a little bit more longer than the females tail feathers. Please correct me if I am wrong. Very entertaining and educational. I ❤ the music..

Canada geese are my favorite birds, and they're a never ending source of pleasure for those folks so inclined. Strange that so many so called humans consider them a nuisance.
@erik02075 жыл бұрын
Malcolm MacLeod it’s because they are a nuisance. Their shit is riden with harmful bacteria, and they shit everywhere. They cause accidents, as well as force traffic to come to a screeching halt. They do make for good target practice and if cooked just right, are a suitable source of protein.
@tunafish87695 жыл бұрын
@@erik0207 In large numbers they are and can ruin a pond. I've got a pair with 5 goslings in my pond. I enjoy watching them and listening to them honk. If they multiply to say...a few dozen then it's goose season with 3 inch steel waterfowl loads.

+Debbie Neumayer there is something very wrong! these bird most favorite thing Is the corn harvest. they clean the fields very year. they normally don't fly south until the end of October. this year they didn't wait they flow out gulf Coast. down in Florida. by lake land.
@lynnclaughton65818 жыл бұрын
+Jan Johnson Yes that kind of strange in your neck of the world they are making an early departure.. but, up here in the Seattle Puget sound Washington State area, .we are now seeing the big high altitude migration of Canada's finest flying species. As always and for as long as ever, they look fabulous in their trek South and we always marvel and wish them well...They are a reflection of our own life cycle every year.

They stay where there’s water when it freezes they head south, in America I know they can get up into the Artics and as far south as Mexico South America, when pressured by hunting they can fly 800miles over night no gas fill ups
