Top officials, distinguished foreign guests and thousands of spectators have arrived in Kyiv Independence Square to watch the celebrations. At the heart of the event was a military parade. Before it president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered a speech, noting that the country is at last restoring its Independence and regaining what belongs to it.
