I don't see any world where starting JJ McCarthy day 1 makes sense. Let him understand the offense and the NFL before he is handed the reins. Give him plenty of reps preseason it's not like the veterans need it.

Love it but here's what's going down at OTAs/Minicamp - Darnold is looking really good and will probably start at least until bye week. Run game is going to look different this year aka wild card. Addison is looking like he took a big step forward this offseason. Too early to tell what Defense will look like but it's stacked on paper.

Darnold will start.The Vikings will not sacrifice games to get JJ experience.Plenty of time for that.I am sure JJ will get plenty of work in preseason and if Darnold builds up some nice leads in the regular season then you might see JJ this season.

Next year in 2025 will be the most intriguing season for my vikes currently projected to be top 10 in cap space to go get a really good free agent specifically on the defense if its a DT or a DB right now its just about developing our new young stars JJ and dallas.

The vikes offense that ran 37 and 38% of the tine the past two seasons will have to get that number higher especially since play action is used a lot, and with that attention to detail with play action suits jj. Guards are our problem and will be. We may have 2 high caliber te this season which will help with blitzes up the middle. Our d starts and ends with our fat boy in the middle. Our ends will rotate. Our corners are what they are. A soild B- Safety play and blitz is what will make us a team to hold them under 20. Lb we can cover but we are small and will get absorbed if our line doesn’t take theirs out. KOC needs to get way better at game management. This dude hired the least blitzin cord year one. Then year two hired the most blitzing. He clearly has no clue what he wants. He needs to manage that clock, strike when he needs, eat the clock. Use his d and expect 22 points allowed but keep them off the field as much as possible. Use the blitz to control field possession. Blah blah. But this is how you make a take on a team.

JJ was a projected 2nd round pick by everyone. Until that Harbaugh interview where he talked him up. That is literally the only thing that turned him into a first round pick from a day 2 pick. JJ is a certified bust. And lol at calling Kirk a "game manager." I don't think you know what that is.

I keep hearing that JJ McCarthy is QB3 and most likely won’t play. Sam Darnold is QB1 right now. None of the team stuff matters if they start Sam Darnold. The moment a Defense starts sacking him and making him deal with pressure, it’s over. Then it’s Mullens or McCarthy. If you can’t play McCarthy on this team right away, then he isn’t a real 1st Rounder. The most important date is the first Regular Season game. The moment Sam Darnold loses his confidence(againx2) and loses a game, you better have the right backup plan. Everyone is thinking this...
