Good call on moving baldr to S tier. Best GP in the game, best myth unit and those rams are so op. I'd just pick him for the fire giants, ragnarok and the ram technology are just a welcomed plus.

Baldr is so strong he might even belong in his own tier. If you can't win after using his power, you weren't going to win.

Hey BoIt! I really appreciate that you are pumping out such great content for Age of Mythology! The only problem I have is that I was never an online player, nor did I get to play much pvp, or keep current on metas or patches so I find myself wanting more in depth explanations on each gods benefits. (examples: finding out bolt can no longer one shot certain units, I always loved the hathor mu but always thought it was not good, but in this vid saying isis GP + Hathor MU spam was very eye opening!). I personally would LOVE an in depth series where maybe you go through strengths weaknesses of each god, talking about specifics of God Powers and MU, whether techs are good/bad and why. A HUGE and almost unreasonable ask I know, but your videos are always educational, and I would love to be able to keep up with your replay casts.

I think Rheia is really underrated mostly because Oranos doesn't have access to her. Just think of her godpower as two bolts. Also her myth unit gives Atlanteans access to a sigh in heroic age (not counting destroyers) The horns of consecration is pretty sweet

I feel like your heavily biased against the Greeks. Hephaestus realistically is S Tier because he gives out Free Economy with Plenty and reduces Armory upgrades. Plus, Colossus. Also, Athena and Ares Should be S Tier since they also pack a whomp. Cyclops' and Minotaurs are both extremely strong Myth Units. Especially if you added Hera's Building Damage upgrade for both, then they simply become devastating.

Thot's really underrated imo, destructive good power (that gets undervalued too often, just because newbies exaggerately like it cause it's flashy that doesn't automathically mean it's bad), a moderately decent flying siege unit (in an attack on a base I find it far easier to direct phoenixs upon a precise important target rather than having them slowly navigate through a maze of buildings to get to it), a strong water unit (ofc very situational but still has to be accounted for), economic improvements (and that's never unwelcome), boosts for migdols and war elephants (both of which as Egypt will be fairly important), overall I find him good enough.

Thoth is only S tier if ur against a norse as phoenix has no norse counter. The only thing i would say that makes him be B tier is his upgrades. The power is not that good, but the upgrades buff the strongest units egyptians have and that's pretty cool. Other than that i prefer horus if the guy uses too much cavalry and osiris if the game doesn't meet both criteria.

On water maps Oceanus is S and there is no A tier god. Carnivora in the water close to the enemy dock forbids the enemy of lauching boats in the water since you can use its special ability to destroy 1 boat with 1 hit. While the enemy doesnt launch his boats in the water he cannot fish and cannot protect the dock from Carnivora's cruch power. Carnivora is the most powerful god power in water maps.

@@KenDeo1997 it is impossible to defeat oceanus using prometeus on water maps because there is a long time to build counter barracks, then a long time to build an army, while you are beeing attacked in the water. If you loose in water it is extremely hard to defeat your opponent.

@@RFS_oficial Gaia should always go Oceanus on watermaps for sure. Oranos I don't think so. Maybe on mediterranean in 1v1 vs Gaia but against any other civ absolutly not. But certainly not on anatolia and midgard just for the carnivora. Oranos can use shockwave on water aswell.

@@marcushelenius6286 gaia is almost invencible in water maps (except for anatolia) because she reaches classical age before anyone else and moreover, she has oceanus on her side. On anatolia it may happen that each player chooses a diferent side of the map and this may protect the adversary.

Based on these tier lists, atlantean seems to have nothing good or at least exceptional. Is Ouranos shockwave just that good, or is there something else that makes them worth playing?

Sky passages are good for those who know how to use them (though very expensive, they can help your army to not get out of position). But the real thing is the speedy turma and murmillo.

Why is Helios C tier? He's got a great Myth unit, great Fire siphon upgrades, decent god power and the mirror towers.

@@Tobiasu Heka Gigantes are op, they win against Colossus and can use their special on hero units. And Vortex is OP to kill all enemy Town Centers. But Mirror Towers are trash, as you said.

@@Gmestradioto Agreed. Citadel isn't as game changing as Ragnarok, plus Fire Giants have the advantage of being ranged unlike Scarab.

Loki would almost never pick Baldr for the reason that Loki does no go for eco really in 1v1, 1tc FH & FM and then spam fire giants is the win condition or a fw + fw through tyr push.

I can understand an Hades picking Ares... but for a Possy player is like; you have to absolutely pick Hermes, Cease fire is way too good even if you dont use it in all the game... also as a possy main, you kind of feel guilty is like...." Im not getting Spirited charge.. cuz I went Ares, now I have to go Dyonisos in case I ever have to use my Hetairoi," a real possy player never discartes Hetairoi, even if you rarely use it. Helios has hes value in those Sun towers tho, very tough defensif buimdings

@@bananatheseus4516 Ares and helios are better hyper late game while the alternatives are better in the moment. I like to win late game so that's why I'm picking them. Also there are a few differences between voobly and steam. For example on steam phobos spear applies to militia too so ares is not that bad for poseidon and heka gigantes didn't get nerfed on steam.

Can someone eventually tell me why Thot is so low on the list? He can offer instant units and empowers elephant. The divine power also deals nice damage even though it isn't accurate. So isn't it good enough?

I mostly agree with saint boit and his judgement but i have to say something here: Tyr abusers in EE are everywhere... try to hold on against a brabery bersserker Odin player the moment he gets momentum... its like going against the sea... Tyr is S tier un EE man.. if finbul winter gets u out of position on your eco... your recovery time is a painful large one, sometimes it does almost nothing, sometiems it destroyes u. Sometiemes I prefer a ragnarok than those damned Huskarles/Ulfsarks.. bests units in the game...

Odin gives a huge boost to Ulfsarks and Huskarl, so it's the question if it's really Tyr who's good here or Odin. You have to consider that you exchange Fire Giants for Fenris Wolves by going Tyr

It really bothers me that most of the time no context is given, which really makes this inaccessible to less experienced player. Ptah is better than Prometheus, why? Sharing this information would help the whole community to learn, IMO

How skadi is more useful than bragi? Boars and Ulfaserk techs are really good. Skadi has got frost giants, winter harvest and TA upgrade

Frost is the best heroic age god power, can be used for offense or defense, as a save or a set up a finisher. Frost giant is the BEST heroic age myth unit, and winter harvest is great. Bragi isn't bad and is useful in some situations and flaming weapons timings etc, but Skadi is better overall.

@@eget4144 Are you kidding ? Giant moutains and krakens are OP ! And Ring Giver for jarls is really good...although, Njord is best use for water maps, pretty much, otherwise not that good compared to Skadi and Bragi which are good on any maps, yeah...

Well it's an official expansion. If we are completely honest, it's not 'awful' and if it were a mod and not official it'd probably be praised. In the end, an official addition needs to be much better. I hope retold does better by China. :)

Why is Toth a D-tier? I always thought that he is much stronger than other options. Mummys and Avengers are not great myth units at all, upgrades and wonders of Osiris and Horus are not superb either.
