The Missouri River Bottom - A Big Field, Big Farm, 4x US Map for PC

Check out this new BIG map from the team at River Bottom Custom Modding, they create some really awesome large-scale grain bins as well as equipment mods but this is their first map, based on the fertile land next to the Missouri River, here's the back story to the map.
The modern Missouri River has been substantially changed from the river that Lewis and Clark traveled 200 years ago. As early as 1819 the United States government initiated programs to determine methods for managing the river, in terms of both navigation and flood control. Those programs led to the creation of incredibly fertile soil that can produce incredibly rich yields. That being said, this map is a recreation of where I grew up as a child and where my family continues to farm. I have always wanted to design a map that took me back to my roots. Now you have the chance to start where my ancestors started. You have one field, and a pretty nice farmyard to get you started, along with a stable full of farm equipment to get the job done. I hope you enjoy farming in the footsteps of my childhood.

I'm a Missourian so I'll have to check this out. It reminds me a bit of some of the large farms along Hwy 36 between Hannibal and Macon, but that's a ways north of the Missouri river. Thanks for the tour!

nah i'd say it's based on the platte river bottom - think Amazonia, Mo - rockport, Mo... right up at the ne ia line area.

@@jeremyyandell4355 I-29 exit 110 mm Rock Port exit and 2.4 miles west on Hwy 136 to Phelps City. Amazonia and Rock Port are nowhere near the Platte River. The Platte River is 48 miles east of Phelps City. The Missouri River is on the left side of this map, only 3 miles from Phelps City. Most of the lands on this map have been scoured by the flooding Mo River multiple times since the great flood of '93.

It would have been nice if they had placed Missouri Beef Packers slaughter plant, instead of MO Valley AG and the electrical sub station, in that location. The BNSF Napier Sub dosen't cross over State Route U south of Phelps. U parallels the tracks, on the west side, all the way to Langdon (south elevator).

Only addition I would like to add. Is that Philips city elevator is a sell point. So in total there are 4 sell points. 3 elevators and the train goes to Kansas City. Thanks again

There are States that allow passing on double yellow. Vermont is one of them.

On a long train like that, is there a trick to see each car as you fill them? I find I end up trying to do them from the locomotive.

Unzip the 2nd file, in it will be a load more zip files, copy those into your mod folder

extremely nice map....but one thing that I see all the time bothers me. Starter farm has a multi-million dollar collection of equipment and bins/storage.....yet you only own one field. I realize I can easily fix that with the EasyDev Controls mod, but it always seems strange. Not a criticism, just a head scratcher.

You should have one folder that says UNZIP on it, if you right click with your mouse on that, there should be an option that says Extract all. click that and it'll create a new folder with the same name, opend that up and in there will be all the mods, then it's a case of copying these all into your mod folder. 👍 Give this a watch too, it's for FS19 but the same rules apply. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bZmjepaQrcrNZ3U.html

I've unzipped the files twice and moved it into the mod folder, and the buildings still do not appear??? Any advice? Thank you

New farmer mode, but I've tested all 3 modes and still no buildings. Just deleted the files and redownloaded them and unzipped and placed in the mod folder and still no buildings appear.

What are telegraph poles? 😂 In real life, those pivots have a big sprinkler on the end to water more of the field. I know they don't work like that in game. Ingrew up livin in a house off a field, had a barn that stored equipment. Was my extended family farm, so it was an older farm house, after my great uncles built new ones.

Not for me. Every texture/grass boundary like field tracks, farmyards etc look like they were cut out with scissors and every gravel surface is blemish free. Kinda spoils the realism. Of course you can go too far the other way like some of the English maps where every farm looks like it was abandoned to the weeds 20 years ago after the apocalypse. But this map needs a lot more work on adding some “chaos”. Right now it looks like a plastic version of the real thing.
