I saw the Mist on Bu-ray many years ago. Just go the 4K Steelbook that you just shown on this video. I will check it today. Of course the color version. I have an LG OLED, Panasonic UB820 and Denon Home Theater. I like the movie back then. I know I will love the upgrade.

Another Great review 👌 Do you know if the Standard 1080p Blu-Ray of this Film recieved a Mastered in 4K Treatment ? (For those of us who don't have a 4K Setup eg : 4K T.V, 4K Player etc) or is it the same 1080p Blu-Ray Transfer as the original release. ?

This did look great and an Atmos mix was great addition. It doesn’t have the same impact on a rewatch because of its ending.

One of my All Time favourite movies. Some scenes are disturbing and uncomfortable to watch. Very brave of the studio to release it the way it is. Movies nowadays almost always plays it safe. Love your review !

I am the person you never met who is actually in the middle ground when it comes to this movie. I actually really liked the ending but the end doesn't make or break the movie. The main part of the film was a pretty good film and the end gave the film a great finish. But it's still not more than a good movie. It's still far from a masterpiece.

The Mist is fantastic. I heard how not great it was in 2007, but saw it on cable, and found it a nice intense dare I saw almost comedic movie. Maybe it's poor directing, or writing or whatever, but this movie is entertaining.

I enjoyed the movie. I have it on blu ray. My 4k upscale enhancements makes it look great. The end is shocking and also depressing. I wanted to see more of the army battles with the beasts from the other dimension.

Review the German Turbine “The black phone 4k” the one that has Dolby vision. Word is the North American release is garbage.

I hate to be the negative Ned of the group but this was a thumbs down for me. Character motivations made sense in theory but something about their actions oftentimes felt artificial, and the ending made sense to a degree but the writing/editing of how it was transitioned into didn't sell it for me - a dumb decision from the start. Also the transfer was underwhelming. I love a good black and white but the black and white disc here looked too much like an afterthought in my eyes. The DV was irrelevant towards getting the light curves to look like they were carefully crafted...largely because it feels too much like the movie was never really shot with black and white in mind. Even if someone were to tell me that that was the plan all along, fact remains that it looked like an afterthought to me.
