Installed this on the Steam Deck w/ prism launcher. Took 5 ish minutes. Good performance, 300-400 fps uncapped w/ 12 chunk render. This mod is actually insane. I've hated on bedrock since the beginning, and now I finally have an alternative!

PS3 mincraft was underated😭. Does anyone else remember the custom maps with texture packs, like the little big planet one

One of the biggest easter eggs on the really old tutorial on the Xbox 360 edition was the fact that it had a replica of a part of Stampy's world INSIDE of the tutorial. I had some amazing times with my cousin playing on my xbox 360

Man the PS3 version was my childhood, makes me happy knowing this mod exists I think there's a server that's attempting to recreate the minigames, I wonder how it feels with this mod installed

They NEEEDDD to add limited world sizes, and also support for older versions of Minecraft!

The nostalgia I got when I saw that world creation menu… I don’t own legacy console Minecraft anymore (but I still keep in touch with one of my legacy friends (hell, he even still makes minigames on the new versions of the game XD, same old Peashooter)). I do have the demo on Xbox 360, though… and _wow._ I can say, with recent memory, that this is the most accurate recreation I’ve ever seen. All they need to do is change the way elytra flying works and the actual gameplay part of things will be at least damn near perfect.

This is THE best version of minecraft and i mean damn i was shocked to see how natural the combat system felt, i thought it's going to feel out of place, but no and generally this mod feels like 1:1 to console editions something which bedrock resource packs could not replicate, i love this

I remember I used to spend a lot of time in the little main area of the tutorial world when I only had the demo, before eventually getting the full version. This was around the same time we had story mode.

Had early pocket edition on an ipad 2, ps3 edition and wii U edition, still remember these versions really well.

This is exactly what I wanted, a continued version of legacy console, and maybe if they add minigames, they can make some new ones. I remember PS3 edition being my favorite and I still play it sometimes but it's really hard to get into servers because there's only about 14 people actually connected to PSN playing the game.

Great video. I remember the good old days exploring the tutorial world. I still have the original game and can still play it too! I still play the minigames these days with my siblings. Also- since Xbox 1 didn't get the aquatic update, we can still play the good tutorial world.

This was peak Minecraft and nowadays this is what legacy really is. Going back and being able to say "Oh yea, I built this and it was one of my firsts". Reminds me of playing 8 player hunger games from maps I downloaded online and installed on a USB for my Xbox so all of my friends could play and I could win a hunger games for once lol

As soon as I found this video, I downloaded the pack. Cranked my volume up, started the tutorial world and even set my resolution down to 720p just for the old look and feel i remember. This has been one of the best nostalgia blasts I've had for a while! Makes me wanna dust off my 360 and go back to the beginning of it all ( for me at least lol ). This has definitely earned its place as my go to solo world pack!

To me this is so cool. I grew up playing Java mainly (started playing PE on an android tablet but then got Java MC for Christmas) and was always fascinated with the look of the legacy console, from just the different feel to the GUIs. Feels so cool to have someone finally made this!

My dad and brother were part of the very few early play testers that played the earliest versions of minecraft on java. They were pretty instantly hooked and pre-ordered the xbox 360 release, pretty much as soon as it was announced. I wasn't allowed to play on the computer yet but I do remember watching my bother play minecraft. When we got it on the xbox we would play 4 player split screen all day, im pretty sure most features weren't a thing yet because I remember us racing to bake a cake first because there was no end of the game. I also remember playing before there was survival but I couldn't tell you if that was an exception to the no playing on the computer rule or if xbox 360 edition started without survival.

I've never grew up with Legacy Console Edition, - only Bedrock and Java since late 2016 - but when I tried it out in late 2020 via a PS3 emulator when I got a gaming laptop, I was instantly hooked, mainly the Glide Minigame because it's something completely unique to me! And it's cool to see a Java mod like this that implemented stuff from LCE, ESPECIALLY that crafting ui that I really love from this edition, reminds me of times when I really wanted something like this for Bedrock back when I was actively playing it before switching to Java in mid 2020 😂 Again, great video! And you've just earned a new subscriber! Keep it up!

I didn't have a mincraft on my ps3 but I tried them on my cousins once time the game was greater than ps4 edition and java I was so sad about not knowing about how great legacy edition was but finally after 5 years I can finally play legacy edition thank you my brother for this big favor I cant stop thanking you you really deserve more than a like and a sub ❤❤❤

Same here! I was born in 2004, but I started playing in 2014 on the Xbox One disc edition, and pocket edition on my Kindle Fire.

For minigames there is a Project called Project LEM, and its basically a 1:1 recreation of Legacy mini games, with all the music and texture packs, and maps. Its in a closed alpha, but I applied on their website and got in after like 3 and a half weeks.

This is so hype Minecraft Legacy will always be the best Minecraft and this mod bringing it back makes me smile dope vid.

honestly, if they add minigames like glides and whole lobby, i will write to them every day to make option to chose tutorial world version because this mod is hilarous

This is perfect for my spigot plugin, where I recreate the console version minigames like survival games(probably had a different name), spleef or elytra race with the original maps

Honestly bedrock edition has its pros and isn't as bad as people say it is, but man they should've either kept legacy console going or ported over many more features from it to bedrock because a lot of good features got lost and it makes bedrock feel like its missing something.
