Ай бұрын

Harnessing the quaint, country elements of middle America but with a contemporary spin, "Modern Farmhouse Decor" blends clean lines, muted color palettes, and textured materials to give birth to a timeless look bursting with both joie de vivre and sliding barn doors that offer absolutely no privacy or sound-dampening whatsoever. Whether you and your flatulent husband Gary are in search of a light, bright farmhouse kitchen or a warm, cozy great plains-inspired living room, the modern farmhouse style strikes the perfect balance between the clean lines of an apocalyptic future and the borderline starvation of the 1932 Dust Bowl. All with the added bonus of sharing Gary's irritable bowel syndrome with guests and family during the holidays. On this very special interior decoration episode of Bald, your personal designers Trixie and Katya will teach you how to share not just your love of the rural American farmhouse style, but also every wet sound and putrid odor from Gary's frequent and disturbing bowel movements. Welcome, y'all...make yourselves at home.

About the Podcast:
The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya features a pair of grizzled gay ghouls sitting on chairs, holding microphones, and discussing their fabulous lives in Tinseltown. (featuring occasional forays into movies, television shows, and air-conditioning) The New York Times called them models, moguls, actors, influencers, drag queens, RuPaul's Drag Race contestants, and even humanoids. If one thing can be said about these two preternaturally gorgeous queens' podcast, it's that Trixie and Katya find the sheer, unadulterated beauty of pure insanity. Tune in every week to experience the auditory pleasure that is The Bald and the Beautiful with Trixie and Katya.

Tbh, we don’t know the dynamics existing between Katya and these so-called “friends.” There’s also a big difference between true friends and “ha-ha girls;” hangers on who use someone for their wealth, influence, etc. This isn’t Katya’s first involvement with rehab so one would think she’s had time to evaluate her relationship with these people from past experience. In any case it seems their behavior is a huge reality check for her. I’ve learned if you do nice things for people expecting them to reciprocate you’re bound to be disappointed.
@floores

@@The_Crucible714I heavily agree on that last part. I’m so happy that you went to rehab and chose to continue fighting for recovery Katya. Like you said, there are really only three possible outcomes with addiction. Rehab is by far the best one. I’ve just lost my long time partner to addiction, and even as his body was shutting down, he refused to admit there was a problem. Addiction is one hell of a beast, and I know that choosing to recover is a life long fight. Rehab sucks, but never waking up again sucks more. I’m so happy you’re here.

Hate to say this but that’s the main difference between NYC and LA. I’m from the former but was shuffled back & forth since age 5. Here in NY people may curse you out but your friends are always there for you. My friends in LA are (mostly) “ha-ha party girls;” not evil, just a different caliber. This gets extremely tired after a certain age. You begin to prioritize and get to know who’s who when it really hits the fan. The only person you can really rely on is yourself (read Schopenhauer.)

Not just the physical pain - the WORST thing was the feeling of having no personal space, comfort or privacy. Nurses would constantly just let themselves in, waking me up in the middle of the night and switching the light on. Obviously, we're dealing with different things, but I relate so much. The edible hit right when Katya started playing her song and I really thought I started hallucinating because how is this happening rn. Then I heard 2024 Presidential Candidate Woahvicky rollin thru, homegirl rolled in on the mic? Then I KNEW I was hallcunating.

Katya playing that poop-death metal track for Trixie and watching both their faces, but Katya’s in particular, just brought me out of the deep, depressive, crippling state I’ve been in for days. Breathed some life back into me. Actually, whole episode 👌😂. Thank you my loves ❤

This was such a funny episode! I have to say. When they talked about the constant calls/texts on their birthday, I started to feel a little bad because I lost my grandmother back on May 18th, and she was the only person in my life to wish me a Happy Birthday every year since my first birthday. She is the only one to wish me that and Merry Christmas, since my birthday is right by it, in the last 22yrs. My 39th birthday will be very different this year.

I get it that it is weird to have random strangers around the world fangirling you without ever meeting you. But I think the two of you are so AMAZING and I also feel like a weirdo being worried about Trixies health and when Katya went to rehab. But I guess I wanna be a little corny and say - I love you both so much, and I am SO so grateful for everything you do, and for being so transparent, and letting us in, getting to know you. This podcast is the only one I listen to, and happily so. Thanks ❤️ hugs from the country of Klarna 🇸🇪
