Thanks Chris, I started watching the video, got 3.18 into it before I decided to experiment myself...two hours later and I've come up with a dark bass drone-like sound with heaps of movement thanks to the combinate module. I then realised theres about 15 minutes left of the video! Excellent. Will finish watching after work.

I didn’t know about the combinate. Will experiment using this with MPE. Those are great sounds. Makes me think of ambient Deus Ex and Cyberpunk soundtracks

Great video as always!! Anyone know if I can use Pigments LFOs to modulate some other vst like Ableton LFO?

Not that I know BUT you can use the sequencer in Pigments to trigger other synths though which is really awesome! Especially if you're not a fan of the sound from Pigments but love the sequencer for example.

As far as I know, only the Sequencer outputs MIDI. The rest of Pigments modulators are internal. That would be awesome tho!

Hey there! I just am just starting to look into the Combinate function and it is truly great. However, I am struggling with making it work with Macros. The thing is that what I want to accomplish is to only activate Combinate (controlling various parameters) when I turn the Macro knob. Logically, this should work by mapping the Combinate Amount to Macro, but the problem is that whenever Combvinate is controlling any synth parameters, it is doing that regardless on if the Combinate amount is 0 or fully wet. Do you think there is a workaround in this?

Because there is no trigger for the combinate, I don't think that will work. You might want to put in a feature request to Arturia! They seem to be actively developing this synth and having "retrig sources" on the Combinate would be a nice feature to have. Best of luck!

@@s1gns0fl1fe Thanks man, highly appreciate your answer! I figured it out yesterday: all I had to do is to map combinate to different parameters, but use the "Sidechain" function underneath and set the particular Macro as Sidechain - with value 1.00. This way, when I turn on the Macro, the combinate modulation turns on as well. Btw, I'm a big fan! You're doing fantastic work with your channel and I learnt a lot about ambient production from you.
