Got this for my bedroom during its holiday sale for $450. It's awesome. Have the miniDSP HD hooked up to it for better optimizing the bass. I had to get the SVS isolation feet to decouple from the floor because it was just shaking and vibrating too much shit around the room on the 2nd floor..which felt and sounded nice, but I knew I wasn't getting accurate bass. It's an awesome sub that can really stand with the 12" subs.

I was in the same dilemma as you. I ended up buying a pair of the PB-1000's and honestly impressed. You won't go wrong with either but I'm in the honeymoon stage with my SVS subs. They sound incredible on movies and great with music as well.

For anyone who's on the fence between mono 10 and pb 1000 for movies and gaming , get the mono. I had the pb bought the mono to compare it and ended up returning the pb 1000. You won't regret it, this thing shakes my 3 story house.

I think they're both excellent. I'm using both at the moment. Almost exactly the same size. Different looks and SVS has DSP you can adjust on the app if that matters to you. You're going to have to look at the specs on both and think about which criteria are most important to you.

I love monoprice and I actually really like the look of this sub. My sub money though, goes to SVS, which has far superior customer service. Also, their Customer Bill of Rights is legit and the stories of them bending over backwards for their customers are all over the internet. Monoprice subs... not so much.

You could get the BK Electronics Monolith Plus which is an internet direct company out of the UK. That sub would be about on par performance wise with SVS PB2000 / PB2000 Pro or Monoprice Monolith 12. They hand build their subs and can offer custom finishes.

@@joentell I was hoping this SVS would pressure rise my room. My room is 10 by 12ft and 8ft ceiling do u think I'd be happy with the Mono or should I get anther PB1000.? I have the SVS prime bookshelf and prime center speakers, and the prime Elevation speakers for my surrounds and height speakers. Do you think it won't sound right because of what you said that the mono is lacking middle bass or will it be ok with just having bookshelf speakers and not the towers with the Mono. I like deep bass but also like mid too. I just figured with the Mono being 500 RMS compared to 300 that it would fill my room more.

@jesterscorner8793 жыл бұрын
The SB would be a significant step back for HT since it's a sealed sub. The PB would be a better choice but the monolith still has an edge over the pb in terms of deep bass. If you can up your budget another $116 though the HSU Research VTF2 MK5 will outperform both and is arguably the best HT sub under $850 new. Not unless you build your own sub.

Pretty much any sub that doesn't use DSP. Can you get any of the OSD Black ones shipped to you? The problem is that DSP adds a delay. If you are using an AVR on integrated amp that can add delay on your main speakers to match the delay on the sub, you'll be ok.

Hello Joe, you should remove the driver to get a look at the motor. May be worth showing the viewers as well. It is insane for a 10" sub. You would probably have to spend $200 alone for a driver of that caliber if you were looking to DIY it. Now consider the cost of a 500 watt class-D plate amp. It makes the Monolith 10" THX Select a crazy good bargain.
