I think Robin being so down on themself in Fractured makes sense BECAUSE Johnny Rancid is such a nothing of a threat. Guy's just some random hooligan on a motorcycle ... and Robin not only lost to 'em, but got badly hurt in the process. Thought process is, "Geez, if I can't beat THIS bozo, what good even am I?"
@callumcooney-waterhouse78514 ай бұрын
Especially since he could have easily avoided this whole situation if he hadn't let his ego get in the way. Robin let himself get suckered into a competition to prove who was the "better" motorcyclist instead of calling the other Titans in for backup or placing a tracking device on Jonny and tailing him until he got off his bike.

I liked that at the end of the episode Larry and Robin were something akin to friends, or at least had an amicable relationship when. Compared to the other dimension fiends. It would be interesting if those three appeared at the same time with the targets of their obsessions and where Batman and Superman are disgruntled by their presence, Robin simply greets Larry and as a being not from the 5th dimension but the 4 9/8ths dimensions (which may suggest that he’s not on their level so to speak), he would ‘try’ to help the heroes.

I’m one of those guys who grew up with the OG teen titans in 2003 so when titans go came out I scoffed at it and said the 03 version was the better version. That is until recently when I was dealing with a bout of insomnia I turned it on randomly and watched an episode where the titans explain medical insurance and was absolutely transfixed and learned a lot about not only medical insurance but about giving things another chance. Had I not turned on the show at that time I wouldn’t have learned and I wouldn’t have had given a show that chance. That all encompassing second chance to make me laugh educate and entertain me. So thank you teen titans go for entertaining and educating me

honestly i had a very similar realization for Be Cool, Scooby-Doo just last year. this was not long after VELMA was released and was panned by nearly everyone. i'd checked the series out and didn't like it, and like many others, went to revisit other Scooby-Doo incarnations instead. i watched the original series, What's New, Mystery Incorporated, and even a massive handful of the movies as well. i ended up watching a video here on youtube of funny clips from Be Cool and i genuinely got a laugh out of it, and thought that maybe i had been wrong to write off the show so easily for the art style and more light hearted and heavily comedic tone. hell, i was even one of the people who had been hating on the show when it first aired! i gave it a chance and genuinely enjoyed it, and it reminded me that second chances are important and so is never judging a book by its cover.

There were two filler episodes between Terra joining the team, betraying the team and it’s aftermath. Terra only got a non-speaking cameo at the end of the first one. It would have probably made her betrayal more impactful if there’d been a couple filler episodes between that and her joining the team but apparently Cartoon Network wouldn’t let them, they insisted the filler episodes and the serialised ones had to be kept separate.

With both Myxzptlk and Batmite appearing in television, I hope we one day get an animated adaptation of my favorite 5th dimensional imp, Qwsp. Qwsp was a character that showed up a few (actually very few) silver age Aquaman comics, but was latter retconned as being from the fifth dimension when he reappeared during a JLA/JSA crossover in the 90s. And it was one heck of a reintroduction! What I like about Qwsp is that he presents himself very differently from either Myxzptlk or Batmite. He isn't a fanboy or a prankster. No, Qwsp decided that since Aquaman had spent the past few decades getting a darker and grittier makeover, that he needed to become dark and gritty as well. But he did it with a distinctive 5th dimensional flair. He was a threat, a cartoonish threat, but that was part of what made him frightening. He had all the powers of the other 5th dimensional reality benders, but he was actively trying to HURT PEOPLE.

So happy we got more Blank-Mite fun with Larry! If we wanna go -Mite adjacent, it would be neat if you covered the other Teen Titans original villain, Control Freak. He didn't start out as a -Mite, he was a character with a magic TV remote who could travel in TV shows and movies and use the weapons and monsters there to harass the Titans. However, in Teen Titans Go be basically turns into a stand-in for the Bat-Mite from Brave and the Bold. He's a Teen Titans superfan who used his powers to remake the show into the Go version, but realizes his mistake and hates it, so in classic Mr. Mxyzptlk fashion he shows up and warps reality for an episode to mess with the Go Titans, like making them turn their show into a College art project, or making them play Family Feud with the Scooby Doo Gang. Like I said, Control Freak is not a -Mite, but he plays that role in the new series messing with reality because he loves the Titans but hates how lazy and useless they've become.
