This video was shot during my time volunteering at a reputable animal rescue center in Costa Rica 🇨🇷

@Noel Montano Ah, i see, apparently Hyacinths are more expensive in Australia. Wouldn't it be nice that every time someone buys one a little percentage would go to the protection of this species in the wild.

Thank God macaws thrive in captivity....if you want one of these beutifull animals..make sure you get a captive bred one or a rescue.

I love all parrots god most exotic beautiful creature he created, hyacinth r the gentle birds, god protect them for our kids next generation we owed them is humans destroy there habitat. ✌️ may god watch over them all.

Natuwa sanctuario, but their hyacinths are not at the sanctuary itself for security reasons 🔒

its not legal to own an hyacinth macaw, they are available in santuaries but we cant own them because people abuse them he did mention the ILLEGAL pet trade

I had no idea rhat Hyacinth Macaws are an endangered species. They are a magnificent bird. What a shame that ithis is happening.. The illegal pet trade. This is so sad. When are we going to learn? 🤔😭
