So while you are right he is frustrating to learn, speaking as a low ranking player casual, I actually find him broken in low elo in a lot o fmatch ups, largely because your opponents are constantly letting you reload and get your resources back for literally free without ever punishing you, a lot of your mistakes are just left without being answered, and even worse his opponents have no idea how to stop his pressure whatsoever allowing you to do just about any combo you want. And with a character who has near limitless combo potential that is also very very easy to pull off compared to other characters, well in short Happy chaos go brrrrr in low ranks. I feel honestly im better off labbing him for a couple hours then actually playing him against players in my ranking

Another super important thing to mention about Chaos is that his gun doesn't start tracking the opponent the instant it comes out. If you pull out the gun and then immediately press to button to shoot, it will miss. I'm not sure if this is the case if the opponent is cursed, though. If it is, then curse is a lot more important than I initially gave it credit for.

Also, clone takes priority from hits, even when standing in front of it.

It's still crazy that they turned The Original into a playable character before That Man. It was definitely expected that he'd become important to the plot of a game at one point, but the direction they've taken with him is very much _out there_ compared to the backstory we had for him prior to Strive.

Even though he isn't beginner friendly, I'm absolutely buying him as soon as I get the game. Never been much for defense so his gun keeping him from blocking won't change my game much. I'm also a fan of gimmick characters so he fits my niche preference pretty well.

You missed something with scapegoat (the clone thing). It will take a hit for you no matter which side of it you’re on as long as it’s in the range or the hit. Doesn’t matter if you’re closer, the clone will always take the hit for you.

If you wanna cancel his gun stances go into reload. It's super fast and can cancel both stances not just the Ready stance.

Also btw Clone can eat the hit even if it’s behind so broken 😭 I love it

The other thing, that I found out is really subtle, if you chain into his gun, like off a melee or use the Draw command attack, it immediately auto locks onto the opponent and will guaranteed hit when you fire, and stay locked on as long as you don’t drop the combo. It’s instant.
