BIG NEWS! Oskar (main developer for Vanilla Expanded Mods) and his team (other prominent Rimworld modders 'Roolo' and 'Smash Phil') are making a game! It's called "Cursed Crew" and is a really interesting take on a naval-roguelike where your crew gets more cursed as they keep going. But hey, don't take my word for it. Story time I decided one day that I wanted to try a new difficulty, to me anyways, and it went smoothly at first. I had a quick to set up, nice colony, with a large farm. For context I was using randy And before I had even been in the game for 15 minutes, randy decided a cold snap would be nice. We had 2 survival packs left and no electricity. Bushes we already picked Animals, too dangerous We were out of food on day 2 (I play on 3x speed)

@@chris_3934 Perhaps he got inspired by her. But the styles appears very different to me. Nurse has a serious matter-of-fact tone that could be mistaken for something official. Grim reaper speaks in a fast jovial tone with a lot of jokes. I watched both channels a lot recently and I didn't make this connections. Interesting to see this comment and his (current) 61 upvotes.

People being unable to feel pain when in a warcasket in a 1000-degree room feels like a mercy, right up until you realize that they're bare flesh sealed within armor with a high thermal conductivity and still have their sense of smell. Good eatin' for cannibals, though. Seals in the juices!

by the way did you know that drop pod raids target powered trade beacons, so making one outside your base preferably outside your killbox nullifies the drop pod raids' fearfulness

I've had drop pod raids long before I had trade beacons, what else determines where they drop in at? Also most people would still use trade beacons inside your stockpiles so having one outside doesn't mean every single drop pod raid is going to be in your kill box. Still a neat tool to have.

@@GoreGutztheImpaler I too use beacons inside my stockpiles, i just leave them unpowered unless i am trading, you can actually make it so that you make a single unpowered power line, and then click reconnect on the beacon to instantly turn it on and off without a pawn

Little late here, but they will target UNROOFED trade beacons 40% of the time. If they are roofed, they will go randomly.

this is honestly a very cool and fun storyteller, i can see myself playing him alot by the way title was changed, old one was "New storyteller. Same problems." changed again, from "WAVE SURVIVAL STORYTELLER" to "The Most BROKEN Storyteller (literally)"

The weapon drop combined with Science Never Stops (the OP brother of it, The Pinnacle of Creation) is some of the most chaotic things I've ever seen in this game. Getting weapons like Precursor by day 10 and getting 10 million wealth by day 20 has never been easier

I think the best ritual at the beginning of the game is probably the skylamp ritual, because it does not matter where you do it as long as you have wood. I have been able to get maximum quality skylamp rituals after literally just starting out.

Dude even using rim of magic and human hive mod I survived till wave twenty where winston sent me a few hundred people. They even charged through artillery, machine guns, and fire. I almost survived but my hive queen didn't have enough magic to keep raising the dead.

I think you are supposed to turn him on and off mid-save rather than try to power through everything none stop. When you feel like you are getting too comfy, turn him on and test your colony before they get lazy.

at wave 40 you get 300 plus raids from the broken empire. the fps equals a powerpoint presentation by then, no matter threat scale i have it at like 80. theres should be like a limit of waves and then you just win or something.

He's actually very overpowered with rewards. I play with the Science Never Stops and this storyteller. I got lucky with him dropping an overpowered melee weapon (R.E.C.U.R.S.I.O.N) meant for lategame and just shredded every other raid that he sent me. Still died at wave 30.

You need to grab your stuff and move to a new tile or to the abandoned ship. It resets the waves and now you have armour and better weapons and research done, making it much easier. Now you don't face huge amounts of enemies. Use a vehicle mod to help move your shit

There is a decent amount of time inbetween those cuts, since you are forced to play on 1x speed when being raided, he most likely spent a lot of that time kiting and killing the warcaskets

Wait really? Hm I gotta fix that, didn’t realize that was the case. The name is Yayo’s combat 3, I believe. It also changes some combat stuff around too, although I think there’s a version that has just the animations

@@TheGrimKleaper Yayo's Animation is the one for just the standard animations I think, I don't know though, I focus more on what pawns are doing when I'm watching a video and not trying to stop her from going on a wild rampage across the map because of setting up priorities wrong on a pawn who moves at over 25 cells per second. Speaking of which, maybe you could do a short on the maximum movement speed and how if you go too fast, you start clipping through walls even on 1 speed.
