I think he just lacks the extra bit of mentality unfortunately and that separates the top of the top from all the rest. But he is an amazing player nonetheless.

Not true. His groundstrokes are weaker than top players. His serve is also inconsistent. He is extremely athletic but due to his style and mentality he has never been a great fighter/defender.
