The Humvee is not as bulletproof as it was on experimental, so I shoot all vehicle parts to see how much it was nerfed by. I also rank all vehicles based on how bullet resistant they are to see which vehicle is the most bulletproof in DayZ.

If they're gonna nerf the humvee, they ought to buff the spawn rates. If it doesn't have armored glass windows, it shouldn't be rare.

I've probably done at least 4-5 full laps around the humvee spawns in Livonia and havent seen a single one. Haven't even seen other players driving them around.

Yep.. but it shouldn't be nerfed anyway.. the real military grade Humvee does include bullet resistance and protection.

The humvee was advertised as it having bullet proof glass. You're supposed to have a sense of safety in the thing given how hard they are to find. Make the glass bulletproof again!!

Since a Humvee Window would easily stop a .308 irl, that's how it should be ingame aswell.

Not a fan of how they removed the bullet resistant aspects of the humvee. Thats how humvees are designed to be, and its why they are a high tier vehicle.

@@try3791 but they literally (most modern versions) will protect you from most projectiles up to 7.62x54 and with a little luck maybe a even more powerful round so?...

@@meauxzez maybe an oversight by the devs considering they gave it bulletproof glass originally, I’m not sure how many people actually pay attention to what make and model of the vehicle it is. Not to mention I have plenty of dayZ friends who don’t have much idea on military vehicles(they’d look at this humvee and assume the windows were already bulletproof even on the unupgraded model for example) so it’s probably an inexperienced designer on the dev team not talking with whoever finished it with bulletproof glass, just my guess.

These stats are honestly ridiculous. But, it's nothing I've not come to expect. The humvee should be far more bulletproof, and the inconsistencies in the other vehicles needs to be ironed out more too.

Humvee windows and other areas should be buffed if you ask me and it can only be penetrable trough windows when you do enough damage to them. And spawn should be rare and only on specific locations. If Humvee is nerfed then there is no reason to get him, rather get more common Gunter.

Fantastic video as always mate, thank you. Interesting to see the deflection surfaces of the Humvee working like that, wish it was more like that as I feel it should be considerably stronger than the civilian vehicles, but DayZ gunna DayZ i guess. Either way you're losing your car to it flying out of control/ taking off into space rater than bullets most of the time anyway. Would love a video on infected mechanics some time, especially in regards to spawning rules and 'player spawning ranges' etc. Thank you

BI should make the humvee bullet resistant from all sides. They should also make it so .308/7.62x54R caliber weapons could potentially penetrate the doors

Widows are bullet resistant to 7.62x54 however i 7.62x39 or a 5.56x45 would have bo issues at all going through the doors..... unless its a late model humvee in which there is armor in the doors

@@darkhawkgaming3238 In that case I'd love to see the up armored version instead, make it a worthwhile vehicle that stands out from the rest. It's already a challenge to fix vehicles in dayz with the risk of being easily detected and then killed. At least with an armored vehicle you could survive a bit longer after fixing it.

If they're really doing this to the Humvee after introducing it as an armored vehicle, they're utterly stupid, but we've known this, it's been years and still haven't gotten basic functions, mechanics, and items back that we once had and were promised to have returned..... leather crafting anyone 🙄

Sorry long rant my bad For me it's the base building. My peeves are. Watch towers should be able to have a gate. Yea I can build one but I should get the option to. Second the opening on the 2nd an 3rd floor. Wtf. Sure I can fix this with a 2nd tower. Pain in the ass but not too bad i guess. 3rd camo nets for the ugly ass roof. What's The point of having a camouflaged tower if the roof stands out like a street sign. 4th placement. I don't care if the grounds slanted I like that fxkn spot I should be able to build where I want to. And no I don't care about community servers. I like offical. 👍 5. I should be able to have a flag on top of my watch tower. Why the fck not. Or at the least have a flag pole inside the tower reaching to the top of the tower. Don't even get me started on fences. Honestly their should be a foundation option. Anything over let's say 30 ⁰ is a no build zone. Hell id even be okay with 13 ⁰. But anything under should be buildable. The flag should honestly render the area you want to build flat and void of any trees or debris. Save buildings and ruins and in game areas. I strictly mean for the woods. If you can't place the flag you can't build their. Their are so many places I'd love to build but you can't because of a tree or log or some slanted ground area. Then theirs the fence, it won't work at a certain angle which messes up the whole thing. This is extensive exhausting and incredibly time consuming. Remember some asshole is just going to blow your wall dismantle your shit and fck you Over and it takes them less than 2 hours to do this. Where it takes you months to actually figure the design ofnyour base assuming you build as you collect materials. The developers in this area specifically truly need to enhance this part of our experience. The modding community has why cant they. I'm tired of guns being added. The longhorn. The bizon. The P8 the C-527. The God for saken unless SSG only ever shot it once never again. Rather use an IJ. These have been needless additions. The broom and pitch fork only take spawns of would be items and replace them with trash. Surr they have their uses but really when do you use them. So many qualms with this game. I love this game but I would love to see it to do better, be better. I would pay good money for this game and i have. And if the graphics could be enhanced omg.

In real life the windows on uparmored humvees is actually stronger than the doors they are on. The real life windows can stop a fifty cal round. I think they should have kept the bullet resistance for the humvee windows.

If they want to make a soft top humvee go ahead, there not very different from the model they already have. If they have a rare, metal humvee at least make it only semi penetratable by .308, 7.62x54. Expensive rounds coupled with a low chance of pen, would balance the rarity of the spawn.

This one is great! Thank you! I used your tools a lot. I am curious about my favorite rifle, the pioneer and it’s PP against a helmet at 200 meters? With its amazing penetration, does this mean it does better getting through helmets for that one hit kill than the Tundra? Haven’t had the opportunity to try on someone yet.

The Humvee shouldn’t be invulnerable but it should offer superior protection in all metrics or what’s the point? They should have just added open top Jeeps at this point.

We have now gone through every vehicle in the game, we run a duo and still managed to go through 5 humvees in our last server, as we kept trashing them. They may be good against bullets but if you bump a tree twice the engine is badly damaged. Give me my trusty gunter or Ada any day. We keep getting them just to have it but they are more trouble than they are worth.

The Olga is the worst car on console, went through 6 radiators and two tire before I just left it. Ada is my fav it can go anywhere and rarely destroys the rad in a light crash. Haven’t found one since the update but have found 2 hummers

One reason why the steering column takes so much pp is most likely because it’s a large metal rod or because the devs forgot to change it

The HUMVEE windows can take AKM fire from a distance but won't hold up to close concentrated fire in real life, they should put it back to how it was so the HUMVEE retains its value.

I do feel like the humvees windows should be slightly buffed because it is a military vehicle and would provide some incentive to get it, but it is also the older model and not the up armored models from early to late Iraq and Afghanistan, because they weren’t meant for frontline combat but I still think they should have some window armor, has the turret ring for christs sake

it isn't bullets I'm scared of.. since 1.19 my cars now veer to the right while driving straight. (no hard brakes or turns). Seems driving is more dangerous than before now.

the humvee sucks off-road, it's too heavy and doesn't climb hills well compared to the Ada so the only upside to the humvee is it being bulletproof. they need to add a low range gear like 4lo, almost all 4x4s irl have.

It's stupid that humwee windows doesn't protect. That's acctualy strongest part of real humwee and only thing that was good about it. Doors in real life were terible at original humwees and were made from kevlar that was penetrated with rifles while windows could withstand even bigger calibers. Seeing this i know that now i am not keeping glowplugs when i find them because i am not going to drive around that big vehicle everyone is looking for when it's useless.

It looks like B. I. tried to imitate IRL to some degree by including seats, open hoods , etc. in ballistics and damage effects.. I'm not sure why they can't just settle this.. the Humvee does have bullet resistance glass and should be out of the normal vehicles league.. period. (The devs should go back to the original plan and keep DayZ a unique, hard level Survival game, instead of pandering to other FPS game styles.)

For a game hell bent on realism, at least make the humvee windows and doors bulletproof to pistols. The windows should be extremely bullet resistant to most weapons, if they could get them to break around the 5th-8th shot from the mid to high caliber rounds that would be a good balance.

removing bulletproof anything on the humvee seems like a dumb move by the devs. Theres now no real trade off for the rarity of the humvee. Especially as vehicles are a pain to get and KEEP working.

How to make every player that came back for the military aspect of the humvee, leave the game again. This is getting old. Tired of liking something just for it to get ruined. Gotta nerf the bulletproof object that's designed as such, but hit boxes that outright turn you into a jug are left in the game for years.
