Only time will tell if their (TaylorMades) durability issues will be cured with this driver from what we saw with STEALTH I and II. I have to say that I agree on the colour change Ash, that blue face looks so much better than red to me...I realise you could order different colours previously too but they were VERY limited. Nice review, I wish you'd done a full fit though and seen what Lee could get you to in each head with an optimised fitting. Maybe something for later in the year?

In my testing (110 clubhead speed) the LS was easily the straightest and easiest to hit. The Max was just weird and hard to manage. The standard didn't sound as good and wasn't more forgiving over the LS after about 40 swings. Some reviews have said the LS is extremely low spin - we didn't see that at all. Spin was "appropriate" and I don't think I got it under 2200 once, and lived around 2500.

Hiya Ash, just curious, those carry/total number seem quite low compared to your ball speed. Spin doesn't look concerning, just seems like the ball should be going further, maybe the TrackMan isn't normalised?

@@matthewthompson6329 yeah I thought that, but usually the TrackMan auto converts it. I haven’t gotten close to 170 ball speed yet, normally 160 but can get 280 carry on the TrackMan range near me.

The life drained out of that guys face when you mentioned the problem with the carbon face lol. Taylormade won't sell any of these until they give guarantee of 5 years on the face. And by selling any I mean compared to Callaway, Ping etc and where they were with Titanium. They've made a catastrophic engineering error with these driver. Now with that being said, it's also know that TM has much better quality control for their Tour issue stuff and I find it weird that I know many people who've had the faces come off and yet nothing has happened mid round to a tour pro crushing the nuts off it. Very odd.

Much prefer the looks of a TSR over the Ping but I don’t but purely off looks. The Ping for me finds more fairways which is what I look for so I play that dude. I still prefer a traditional looking club just don’t game one

@@thegolfsupply did music tech , love almost all music just felt a bit overpowering the last course vlog with the music. Sometimes it was just the volume between clips sometimes just didn’t fit at all 🤷🏻‍♂️ not a usual thing it’s just been the past 2/3 vids musics been a bit all over the place for a course vlog 😂 not hating on the channel it’s literally my top watch but whoever did the audio needs to listen to the edit on monitors and again on a phone then headphones : earphones. Love the channel massively , been a huge fan since sub 1k subs when it was the og crew. Hard thing to get perfect music in vids but deffo needs a steer to keep inline with the big boys like the finch / gg/ grant etc

If you purchased a stealth in the last 6 months you will feel conned, clearly there were major design faults, yet still marketed as great club. TM have lost their way, trust is in question.

Also TM seems to have problems with carbon and built quality....ever Rory said: "we (pros) get the best heads out of every batch" when he was making clear how pros have way more advanced tech. Sim2 was the last great wood line from TM

I’m not buying a carbon face which are known to micro fracture. It’s not the kind of material I trust with repeated stress.

Early to make any real comment on this. But from what I saw mate, even from how the face is now inserted into the crown, it’s SO MUCH better. Won’t put my neck on the line but I’d be very surprised if they have any face issues with this one. Really solid driver

@@thegolfsupply the face issues with the stealth were in the way the face was held by the outer bracket, yes that seems solved. I’m talking about the fact carbon material is very strong (yes, they use 60+ layers) but carbon micro fractures after repeated stress so I’m not saying it will break, merely it will stop performing over time. When carbon fails, it fails spectacularly as they say. Not like Titanium or other metals.

Every shaft and head play different, the rep was like, yes use the one you already play. He should have started from scratch and get the best for you. I’m full taylormade, won’t buy anything more for like 5 years at least. Always say the same thing, especially the team players, cringe really ha ha
