The last fear is the fear of failure, and he was so afraid of failing again that he rushed the challenge and failed it at an earlier stage than he did previously. So he may have faced his fears but his fear got the better of him.

In case nobody answered. Waivers are legally binding. Depending on the circumstances and your mental status at the time you can sign a waver to be executed if you please in most countries, these waivers are in 99% of cases considered non-binding with huge decisions like these as the persons mental stability at the time of signing cannot be verified. People have tried to use them to get away with murder many times so there are clauses that stop them being legally binding in the clause is breached, full handover of life to another is one of those. In this case the contract is legally binding. All measures to ensure the participants safety were followed to the best of the teams ability.

Yeah, every video it becomes more obvious that MrBeast is losing his humanity. I say this as a long time subscriber, I'm not enjoying his content anymore because it has become heartless and almost seems mean spirited. It definitely takes advantage of working class people in a world where no money = death, and the method of garnering money is to sell your body and mind for 2/3rds of your life. To offer someone a chance at 800k, have that person work incredibly hard, and put up with what is practically softcore torture, and then pull what he pulled? It's cruel.

Plenty of game shows have included risk/threat to bodily harm as tasks and challenges, allbeit often as more a light level threat with a lot of precaution and safety teams involved. Afterall, pain makes up a substantial part of what would garner a fear response in a person. If game shows weren't allowed to use threat to bodily harm as a challenge there would be no water, no heights, no animals, no collison with objects, no fighting/sparring challenges etc as they all include a risk to the individual. Of course, all of this should always be undertaken with the right safety precautions and be far above board in case anything does go wrong, but these tasks often are an intrinsic part of many game shows. Afterall, pain is quite literally why animals evolve a fear reponse in the first place, to avoid a perceived threat of possibly fatal harm.
