It's not "disrespectful" when a player like Larry Bird talks the talk and then walks the walk. That called "greatness". Today's NBA players are soft and wouldn't last playing against the greats of the '70's and '80's.

Imagine Larry having the freedom Steph Curry has to shoot the ball.. Back in the 80s they still looked for McHale to start the offense based on the low post threat. The game would have been crazy to see Larry and Reggie be able to have half of the plays drawn up to find they shot..

Facts, kills me when i hear the kids at my job saying things like "steph curry the greatest shooter ever, larry who?" Like bruh larry was pullin out that strap getting double teamed and roughed up, larry would start shooting 3s behind his back or left handed if he had the kind of room steph does, and to be clear i think steph is a great no doubt about it, but its more the fact these kids just dont know anything else but will still dismiss it

@@roryjohnston6567 Larry don’t have the range or accuracy rs. Steph is taking more shots and yet for career, and he is shooting 43% from 3? Bird is one of the GOAT shooters most definitely but he’s nowhere near Steph dude and it’s not even close lmao 😂

@@savonsanders3955 larry played in a time where 3 pointers were not worth shooting consistently because defense was far more physical, idc how good a shooter you are you aint hitting shots consistently being pushed around, roughed up, and seriously contested, what was the norm back then would be a flagrant or technical today, promise you this: if we switched bird and steph and put them in the other guys eras steph is gonna have a much harder time adjusting and performing at the same level he normally does, where as larry would either be at least the same or even better

@@iam_dsm7904 you say that like bird wasnt already getting double.or triple teamed afainst a far more ohysical style of defense, whats a technical or flagrant today was par for the course back then, it was just the price you paid for looking to score, if you were in the paint best believe some 7 ft plus center was bout to drop some bows on you, and shooting from deep you were getting touched

These comments are hilarious. "Bird wasn't doing that", umm, yes, he was. He was also doing much more than that. He wasn't a one trick pony, he did it all and called your mom to tell her what he was going to do to you the night before. He'd have the players today going home crying and needing therapy just from the mental game alone.

cz the Finals is the Pinnacle of any sports, you work hard at practice, play your ass inthe regular season and in the playoffs but that's nothing without winning in the finals.. finals are for winners and alphas not for Chokers!
