Alcindor was the best UCLA player ever? NO. Bill Walton was the best college player ever, nation wide. Period. Up to this point I thought you knew what you were talking about. Where is your bias coming from? In this day and age I'm almost afraid to ask. In '77-78 when they both were in their prime Walton's Blazers embarrassed Jabbar's Lakers. No college player in history could stay with Walton.

Having Sam Gilbert buying all the best players for UCLA didn’t hurt either. Wooden claimed he didn’t know anything about it. If you believe that, then I have some swamp land to sell you.
