The soldier stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, you soldier, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my Church have you been true?" The soldier squared his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who carry guns, Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. They never wanted me around, Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't, I'll understand." There was a silence all around the throne, Where the saints had often trod. As the soldier waited quietly, For the judgement of his God. "Step forward now, you soldier, You've borne your burdens well. Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets, You've done your time in Hell” “The Final Inspection” -Unknown Author

On this day Christmas of 2020 I lost my great grandpa whom serve in World War 2 as a medic going to France and Japan and Indonesia to serve his country. He lived to be 97 years old when covid hit and country was shutting down he couldn't go to any football games, basketball games or gatherings his fire of life was slowly going out me and my grandma knew he was gonna pass but I didn't want to believe it. One day a couple of weeks before of his passing my grandma told me that she was checking on him and getting him ready for bed he called her by her mother's name whom had pass before my mother was born my grandma believes he was seeing my great grandma spirit or angel . Come Christmas morning of 2020 he passed away in his sleep I was in disbelief that he had pass I thinking of what song to listen too and I found this song it send chills down my spine and almost made me cry and now it's been one year without him and truly miss him. thank you for the song I know it's about World War 1 I believe it works for both so again thank you and God bless you

A truly wonderful choice for this time of year. Many a man died in those fields. Many a man also made friends, around this time during the Truce. One recognized by the soldiers, and while it was only the soldiers, they are nonetheless the quintessential part of all nations. A salute to both sides. Neither of them were great, but they both had good men who wanted to fight for what they believed as right.

This song holds a special place in my heart i recently went to my family's church and it got a private family war graves that all have American flags flying my family members have been fighting ever since the 1600's and been in every battle in the United states you name it we were there in some way the front of my family's church if nothing but war graves of marble stones and rifles stabbed in the ground with the American flags and we had a vote on who should host a funeral too a ww2 veteran in my family and his brother who barly survived the battle of the bulge 1944 at 19 and 20 years old and i was chosen to host there funeral and when we all said our good byes i played this song and all of us JROTC and currently serving lined up and we saluted not just those 2 bothers we saluted every last one in that war graveyard and we stud there like a stone till the song ended and the atmosphere had the most spooky feeling cause it was sun down when we started and it got dark and cold kida quickly and for some reason idk why but a heavy fog rolled into the graveyard after the song was over the church is in the mountains and its normal but the timing sent chill down all of our spines i visited the church a few days ago and it felt off i just felt sadness and comfort over there like all 42,000 members in uniform are still there

I was wondering if you've considered possibly making a Most Powerful version of the song Bismarck by Sabaton? If not and it sounds interesting and wouldn't pile much more work, I'd like to request that you give it thought. I know it's possible you may not see this, but I digress, thank you.

My great uncle fought in World War II with the U.S Army. He was stationed in the Philippines, assigned as a field radio operator. His life changed forever after the war. My aunt told me that he never really spoke much after he came home when the war ended. Death is a terrible fate, but I believe that it’s even worse to survive a war because you have to remember your experience fighting and seeing violence, death, and destruction.
@joshuabeaman2727
@joshuabeaman2727 7 ай бұрын
there is a bond like no other. it's difficult to describe. in theory, you try to survive the war. you're only trying to go home to your family and hope to live a good peaceful life. the problem is, that's exactly what happens. secretly, you wish you were the one that died. you'll never say it out loud, but you will always choose your squad, or your team, over everybody else in your life. you will always feel guilty because one of your guys died, instead of you. "if one of us falls, then we should all fall." that's the only way to describe the feeling. but that didnt happen. and here you are, 10 years later, fixing refrigerators for a living. and you will never say those words out loud.

In the end... "Well, that's over. The licentious rabble that is the Ultimate Harem... all but exterminated." "So it seems." "Indeed. But I fear that our duty is far from over." "What do you mean?" "We haven't exterminated every of them. About 6 or 5 of them remain." "Still, did they have to die... for something that petty? I didn't see why they have to die for sleeping with the Blue Blur." "Petty or not, they must die anyways. Everyone dies for a reason or not, minor or major." "So, what is left to be done?" "I leave the duty to you... for the rest of us Guardsmen depart to the warp for a greater purpose." "Why?" "The gods call to us, but they decree that you must finish what we have started. Finish the battle. End the Ultimate Harem to the last. Even if you die trying." "I see... I'm humbled... Dangerios..." "Farewell, Gunrunna da Sharpshoota... and live well." "Only because I've served under you, Captain." -Sonic Guard: With United Arms Final Episode: The Unnumbered Tears (TBA).

We mustn't forget the sacrifice of German soldiers who never asked for this war. May they be always remembered, may we fight side by side in the days to come my brother

Honestly the original was better, the voices echoing alone had a simplicity that left you feeling as if you lost something of yourself. This just feels like you're trying to overdo it for a movie soundtrack
