If you're going that technical for buying something that has specific functionality but also has Amiibo features, then Shadow Mewtwo is the most expensive. It's only available with the $60 game.

The mh stories 1 amiibos never got relieved in america, or outside of Japan at all. they might be getting a worldwide reprint as the game is getting an updated switch port, but nothing has been confirmed. you're probably thinking of the Tsukino Amiibo as she is a palico (cat) from mh stories 2 that was released outside of Japan.

The only “Amiibo” I have is Bowser and Donkey Kong from Skylanders, you can twist the bottom plate to switch between Skylander and Amiibo mode.

@@Tacocat-zt4vm Yeah! Although I don’t have a WiiU which have the Story part of Superchargers, I do have a Nintendo Switch which Imaginators is available for! And yes! It’s so fun! But unfortunately they are only available for Nintendo products. (What a shame).

You can also emulate amiibos with some RFID tags and a cellphone that can reprogram them. It’s a specific kind of RFID tag though - I paid $15 for like 100 of them on Amazon and just used an iPhone to program them.

I’m glad I got the band before it became pricey online, and I just bought it off of eBay when they were just starting to get into circulation with the Japanese release 😂 But I gotta get the other 6 tho- soon to be 8 when the Donkey Kong expansion of the park opens up in USJ 😢

So you mean like the most expensive “retail” price for an Amiibo, when it’s still new and sold in store, as opposed to the aftermarket rarity. The closest I can think of is the Midna/Wolf Link amiibo, back when it originally released as exclusively part of the Zelda Twilight Princess HD bundle pack for Wii U. Sure the game itself made up most of the value in terms of the bundle’s hefty price, but if you really wanted that Wolf Link amiibo back when it was brand new and sold in stores, you had to buy the whole TPHD bundle for $60! Just slightly above the wristband (if it counts?)

Walking in and buying isn't that arbitrary imo. Collectibles are known for dramatic price changes when resold, but it's not often we think about how much they originally go for

Funny thing, I got the golden band when I went visit US-Japan because I needed one to interact in the park and they had the Golden Band, the US one was crazy expensive. But in Japan, I checked that for the prize of a regular band you got the Golden, and decided to buy that one instead of the normal one and it was the best decision since I loved the color. So tl;dr the band was around $40 in Japan while $52 in the US lol

What’s even better is that if you bought a power up band previously, you cannot transfer your progress in the land from your old one to the shiny new gold one, making you basically start over if you want to use it in the park. I still bought it though.

I went to universal studios with my Highschool jazz choir for a state competition (my first time at the park) and we got to spend a whole day in the park. Super Nintendo World was the last place we went and I was hyping it up all day! It got to the point where the other people in my choir were placing bets on how much Mario stuff I would buy (our pianist's girlfriend ended up winning)🤣. It was a very special occasion for me and we went there at the perfect time with the golden bands being available. I knew that that was the one I had to get. I felt very cool walking around the mushroom kingdom with my golden bracelet. And then later at the awards ceremony we ended up getting a gold rating for our performance. It was a pretty awesome trip, and I of course still have that golden power up band!
