Actually he really can't..not at all. Because Jeff Bezos has very very little liquidity and his valuation is based on his stock price. Also he shares his company with several other investors as it is still a loss making business. Bill Gates on the other hand and Warren Buffet have billions literally lying around.

@Rudraksh Tiwari The only way he can buy them is if he leverages his assets or sells some of them to convert into hard cash. A lot of us are fooled when we look at how much wealth people have based on their valuation. Literally no one has Billions lying around..its always locked up in some asset. For Jeff Bezos its Amazon.

It's a draw between Chateau Zinkovy in the Czech Republic and Palais in France. I love the waters of Zinkovy, and the location of Palais would be very convenient.

As beautiful as they are, comfort and quality of life in a castle isn’t the primary function, as they are designed for defence first and foremost. Modern construction would give more luxury, comfort, functionality, and lower maintenance costs for less. Many people will mistakenly call a non-fortified structure a “castle”, most of the estates on the list aren’t even castles.

I’d be more interested in the maintenance costs of staff compliment required to manage them. Buying is manageable. Maintenue is harder to forecast

Of course I was drawn to the most expensive chateau of them all, at $ 53.9 Million dollars. I think I was Marie Antoinette in a previous life because I am always drawn to expensive things and many times I will be walking along and find myself humming the French national anthem. Most of these $30 million castles have been bastardized over decades by owners with no taste nor respect for history. It will take another $30 million to restore these beautiful castles back to their original glory.

This is all about property, property and property. Nothing about maintenance. You see just see the nice maintained parts. Good look when you want to maintain these properties. The most castles in for ex France need heavily maintenance.

The last castle is the real deal. A great price and bargain for what it is and also what you can add on architecturally. More farmhouses and you have a resort where people can come and play with farm animals and eat produce right from the gardens and trees.

Some of these Castles are cheaper than just land in River Oaks! God says we can ask Him for anything so I have already ask! If I don't get it, fine. If I do get just because I trusted Him enough to even ask, YEAH FOR ME!!! If evil people can have this beauty why can't we. We worship the Creator, not the creation, i.e. house, cars, yacht's etc. I could marvel forever at the architecture and the scenery.

There is walled castle about 10miles from me in stafforshire, england for sale for about a £2 million as old as recorded history (700 years+) with an actual moat with a stone bridge which replaced the original drawbridge. These are nice but I wouldn't really call them a castle.

That sounds amazing. I used to live in a market town in Oxfordshire called Woodstock which was right next door to Blenheim Palace, now I’ve moved to the east of England and am about a 10 minute drive from one of the best preserved Norman Keeps (early 12th century) in the country - it just shows you’re never far from something interesting in England/ other European countries.

I inherited my late father’s castle, he was killed in it by a mustachioed Italian American plumber who was rescuing some princess. It was difficult to sell it though, what with it being full of lava pools, perilous platforms, spikes, stone ghosts trying to squish intruders, turtle soldiers, turtle sorcerers, skeleton turtles that reassemble after being defeated, etc.
