This is a great video and great project. Thanks for taking us all along, through your videos and your commentary. I can't describe the desk in simple sentences. It is gorgeous. The way you describe what the crews were doing while building it and piecing it together made for an enjoyable video. When I watch you interacting with your father is great. I envy that. My dad passed away this past June 2023. He was an incredible carpenter. He was a jack of all trades but a master of none. Make sure you can do as much with your dad as much as you can. You both compliment each other. Congrats again!!

You guys do great work. I used to be a supervisor at a cabinet shop and our main production was drawer boxes. We used to use hot glue and staples on the bottom side of of drawers. Works great with the expansion and contraction of the wood. Keep up the awesome job you're doing. Love your videos.

Absolutely stunning piece of art. Definitely one of nicest waterfall pieces I’ve seen created. The blue on a waterfall piece is so needed. Any other color would not have showcased the beauty of this desk. ❤❤❤

BFWC did again - I thought I had seen my favorite piece of furniture and then you and your crew create this wonderful desk. I would be happy with just the scraps from this piece. You say you bond with an inanimate object, but the wood was alive and lives again in the art you create. Stay safe and I wasn't kidding about the scraps if you feel like giving something away (LOL).

Nice! Would have liked a better video shot of the transition from top to side and how the woodgrain continued. Probly one of the more gorgeous parts of this build, seeing the one-piece-ness! Better than seeing just the drawers and blue on the "front" or is that the "back"?

Used Blum soft-close hinges and drawers on two kitchen remodels. 1 hinge fail in 12 years. Had spares. Easy to swap. Would recommend.

that huge table saw is one of the most beautiful ones ive ever seen

when i made high end reproduction furniture all those years ago i made all the drawers we did them exactly like you do but one thing we did not do was glue the bottoms in they were stapled to the bottom of the drawer back on most small & medium drawers, with bigger drawers like armoire and chest of drawers had a few staples down the sides maybe 3/4 to a side but in most cases they were left to float on all but the biggest drawers we never used modern hardware but traditional maple drawer slides that ran down the center of the drawer we also had a pneumatic press custom made to press the drawer parts together rather than hammering the dovetails with a mallet we made thousands of them!! i know its not a lot of glue on the bottoms but am wondering if it could cause problems down the road twist the drawer out of square or some such issue just a few thoughts from an old wood basher that desk is a beautiful piece of furniture well done. PS dad was right about the sanding thing 100% lol
