This isn't headline news, but an in-depth video essay. You can't judge a 2000-words explanation by four words. Still, I changed the title & thumbnail to minimise a chance of them being used out of context. If my point isn't clear enough: No, Jin doesn't groom Jungkook, as a best friend or more than that. There's no problem with their age gap today. This video explains why and the fatality of that allegation. Ideally, censorship in a mature discussion isn't right, but we're a part of a fandom where Pdogg says, "You must've been practicing a lot," to Jin can be trended on Twitter as a way to cancel him, so I should've known better and be more considerate in the future. I work in academia, hence I believe nothing is too taboo to be discussed as long as it's done with ample research. However, I'm willing to compromise with how I present it. I keep the video since it helps many people to learn and assure them that it's nothing like that between Jinkook. I also think that it's better for fans to find this video when they search about "grooming" instead of threads that defame them. Furthermore, I didn't do it solely to "defend Jin/JK" because I believe they're capable of defending themselves very well and speaking up when there's a need for it. They're bigger than this whole argument. I did it as fans for the fans so that we can be more cautious in throwing labels/assumptions, especially in the context of shipping real people which is the reason the video exists. It's made upon issues that were raised by my subscribers who encountered these allegations within the shipping community, and so do I while maintaining the channel-unfortunately, I already deleted the comments. Instead of answering the question again and again, I figured making a video would be easier so that I can refer future concerns to this video. It appears to me that every aspect of their lives are on camera. They were all also under the care of adults in the management. It also seems to me that Jin undertook a quasi parental responsibility of JK, ensuring he was in school and eating correctly. Why did anyone think Jin was grooming JK. Plus from what I've seen of JK, he doesn't allow anyone to bully or control him.

@@wendygolding3564 i agree. even at a young age, I saw jk as one who can take care of himself and would not allow himself to be bullied. i saw clips where suga also took part in taking care of jk. I saw jin trying his best to be responsible eldest of the group and doing what is expected of an eldest even when he himself is the youngest in his own family and may not have any idea how it is to take care of those younger than him. I just feel bad that if its jinkook, people are quick to judge and dislike

I just don’t understand how can someone throw words like pedo to literally anyone. It’s a really big word. Just to satisfy your shipping and prove they are real y’all go to this extent? Remember BTS relationship with e/o is beyond shipping. Doesn’t matter if one ship has a lot moments than the other nothings gonna change their relationship. Don’t put your shipping agenda into their relationship. Respect each one of them as a human. They aren’t your tools to play with. Day by day shippers are being toxic and toxic. They have forgotten basic human decency in the name of shipping.

very well said. other shippers are just really immature and are just becoming insecure now that genuine Jinkook moments are being revealed. they do have a close bonding but no one really knows what kind of relationship they have so it is just really disrespectful and unfair for people to give such negative comments. and if in case there is more to just being friends, there is nothing wrong with it.

I mean i've been a jinkooker for more than 2years now but cant really confirm the realness of their relationship as a couple, to think that i have watched tons of jinkook videos. For God's sake, I didn't know there were people who accuse Jin of such disgusting terms and behavior; like even the way they allow themselves to speak for someone else's life in such ways is terribly wrong. Throughout years, Jin's and Jk's relationship (whatever it is) not only has gotten bigger, but also it's become much more stronger and matured in many ways one could point out. How can one call that grooming when looking at it we only see Jin's unconditional love growing for Jungkook and the other members, and for Heaven's sake for how long are these people going to see Jk as a baby? The man is almost 25 and he's still a baby?! And again the never ending saga of Jin being an old man and a parent (In worst terms a mom) to Jk when there's just literally a five-year-age gap. Aren't those people the ones with the paedophile tendencies? Because well based on their small heads Jin must've been five when he had Jk! Sorry, I got angry while remembering and well now introduced to some new toxic people, but again thank you so much for taking your time to talk about such important issues. Wow, really I dont know how to react to those accusations hurled to Jin. I'm appalled and anger is rising within me. I'm a senior citizen already and only during the pandemic that I'm drawn to BTS particularly to Jin. Why Jin? As what I've watched past you tube posts, Jin is the least aside being the oldest. He isn't a dancer and singer, making him the underdog of the group. I've been known in my community as a person who has the heart for underdog persons so that make Jin my bias but I like BTS as a whole. He has improved a lot and I would say he really has the talent for singing and dancing but that he was more interested in acting. He is becoming more popular and gaining more fanbase (mostly mature people) that some would try to put him down. We call it crab mentality,

The unfortunate, though, was that he wasn't given much of the chance to prove himself and also to improve in his work. And just like you mentioned, dear, now that he's actually shining through their recent works, some immature people are trying all in them to bring him down which is not going to work at the end if we true ARMYs here stand by his side and also our other six great men.

@@franciscacachero8105 When I started to become interested in BTS and Jinkook, I could easily understand why Jin likes JK, but wondered, why Jk was so interested in Jin. JK said, that he and Jin are similar in character, both straightforward. I don't now. Jin's "persona" after 2015 is this cheerful, secure guy, sometimes even a bit annoying to me because he can be quite insensitive (New Year video 2019/2020, BE behind the scenes with Jimin). At the same time there are his songs, particularly "abyss", but also "tonight" and "moon". It must be very difficult to keep your 2 sides (of course, there are more) separated. I wish, he could integrate them better, but this is, what a "persona" does to you. It must be very annoying, when people just like you because of your visuals, something you can't do much about. And now he is so good at singing and dancing!!! Actually, I listen to his songs most. I am not so sure about the underdog thing, it probably always was a mixture, because he was the oldest hung too (and the cook!). Really annoying, that these kids write this accusations, but frankly, I am sure, they don't know, what they are saying. I think, they just lash out at anything that stand in their way to fantasize about Jungkook. Or anything, that is old (meaning ourselves). Happens, can't do much about it, only wait, until they get out of it and try to keep calm and give meaningful context like moonbathingrite. Same thing happened in the women's movement. The main problem the youngsters have is the "old woman". I couldn't believe ist at first.

Wow, so just having their happy, playful moments leads to this type of accusations. I am just disgusted 😒. Jin is someone who doesn't use his hyung card on anyone from very beginning. He always steps aside from spotlight just so the members can shine more. He was so caring towards each members even young Jungkook . Who do yall think let a member have dinner with their own family just so the member can get rid of the homesickness .I have no words. Just because your ship doesn't have moments, doesn't make Jin a criminal. How delusional people can be ? Hybe should definitely sue this people. It just blows my mind, how someone can say this type things about someone without knowing a fraction of their life. If someone is victim, let them say for themselves. Don't ruin these beautiful moments. Just thier own shipping agenda being not fulfilled leads to this type of accusations. I can't honestly think if anyone of them reveals their relationship in future,what will happen then? I am terrified to think that.

agree. Hybe or BH should do something about this hate comments about Jin or any member for that matter. and I would think that they are partly to blame on why some fans became toxic and delusional. they encouraged fanservice among members and this is the result.

But when it is too much, fans really can't differentiate between fan service and reality. And when they can't get enough, they get mad and do this type of delusional things.its just very sad to see people spending their whole day just to speculate over something, they don't know about. I think people mix it and confuse it with the phrase "Jin raised Jk", the members use it but the fans have twisted it let's remember that Jk had a life before bts that his parents raised him until he was 13 years old, he had his personality and he take he's decisions like joining big hit. And the members are not brothers, they did not grow up from babies together, although Jk was 13 years old when they met he was more mature due to the industry where he was and according to him he said it when he met Jin caused an impact on him. There is no problem in which something else will develop later, it would be very natural.

I think there is another twisted kpop fan service culture about faking this “we’re a family, we’re brothers” atmosphere. Actually, when they were trainees, they had absolutely no idea who would be in the final debut team, so the trainees back time were pure competitors to each other. imagine a bunch of teenager boys, compete with each other everyday, a lot pressure, live together, must be full of chaos and fights(actually so many kpop teams proved there’s no such we love each other as a whole thing). That proves how more valuable Jin treated jk so well back then, because he literally tried his best to take care his competitor so the younger one could insist to the end. Funny thing is, Jk is not the only one who got the treatment like driving him elsewhere, but other members also got this(they said during interviews), I believe even some of the trainees that never made it to debut also got it. Jin is that nice. To me, it is so ironic that the fake we’re a family thing is so popular in fandom, but when it comes to some pure, real, sincere relationships, fans seem freaking out and throwing the worst words they can find to smear it.

Everything is too ironic if you put it like that 🙁 I think in one interview someone also mentioned about how chaos their dorm was back then, so Jin moved to the dorm later could be helpful in some ways. The competitor part gives a whole new meaning to 'Jinkook is close since the beginning' because they managed to surpass that easily. I'd say Jin-Jungkook connection is truly one of a kind not only in the K-pop industry but also in general. Too bad some people fail to appreciate the sincerity between them.

@@moonbathingrite the thought that these so-called fans label jin badly never even backpedaled as to what is the real scenario of being a trainee and debut days back then. They were surrounded by lotsa people everyday. Jk became a trainee at 15. They debuted when he was almost 17. Jin even have a different set of friends back then. By the time jinkook became really close, JK was already 17 years old and Jin 22 Korean age.

i would like to say that jinkookers should also stop saying that jinkook is real since 2013, or seokjin waited for jungkook to turn legal... i dont think its right to ship minor jungkook with anyone or romanticizing his bond with other members while he was a kid. also jin isnt a predator he wouldnt purposely wait for him to be an adult... they became closer but it was natural not something seokjin planned.

twitter is flooded by comments and fantasies mostly from the younger generation who super idolize the maknae and even the maknae ships. sorry to say that most of these people are immature. they are also getting to be insecure of jinkook so they resort to these unpleasant criticisms on jin. and with Jin being given the spotlight with the recent songs, the toxic solo stans of the maknaes are really getting insecure. of course I do not mean all of maknae stans, only those who are toxic, immature and insecure.

I believe that their relationship started from feelings of affection and care as brothers, Jin as the youngest in his family found a younger brother figure in Jungkook. Likewise, Jungkook, who at that time was far from his family, found an older brother figure in Jin. They have lived together as a group for many years, there is nothing wrong if that sense of care and affection develops and turns into more than just brothers.

Another comment, but I just wanted to add That the one video in bangtan bomb where Jin and Jk are choosing their ice cream flavor from the machine sums up, in a simple way, the way they are together: Jin suggests Jk in his own innocent playful manners, and at the end we all can see that Jk has his own choice with Jin and he's not being forced by him in any ways. In fact, the person who brings out the best matured traits of Jk is actually Jin. I believe at times the rest of the members see Jungkook as the youngest a lot and therefore treat him as that as well while with Jin, I always feel like Jungkook gets to be someone as more than that concept; he's who he is when he's with Jin. To me the moment I see Jinkook together, I feel like I see the real Jin and Kook, not that it's not the case with the other members, but these two bring out the most natural relationship I ever want to accomplish for myself in my life, being it a friendship, romance etc.

And in the recent Vanity Fair interview! JK deliberately changed his answer to Jin's because "you know me better than me" and he's probably scared of hurting the fans, lol. It's a small moment but I think it's very representative of their relationship too.

RM even bent while laughing. it seems they edited/cut that portion when JK wrote the new answer of "Love Army". they only showed the part where he was erasing the middle part of the board which is the original (short) answer. perhaps it was kmichi : )

wow, this channel really goes deep when it comes to social issues surrounding jinkook and the other members. tbh, it was really shocking to see these comments circulating the internet. i always thought the only problem they have for jin and jk was just the age gap compared to their ships, can't believe people somewhat labeled jin a predator, a p**o. they just hated the fact that it is what it is, so airheads really found a loophole within their relationship, these people are a mess.

@@99jin99 i don’t mind any ships (not only to BTS) if that’s what makes fans happy and also helps with idol groups’ popularity, but throwing names and misjudging other members just to prove their point, or in this case, their ships… it really makes me sick. They are so malicious, clouded by their over-sexualized fantasies, to the point they are becoming toxic and stupid. I feel sorry for them because they are so blinded by their lust towards Jungkook (or maknae line) that they think maknae line is still in their teenage years after 8 years and only the hyung line is getting older 🙄 those toxic fans are using inappropriate words towards Jin just to show that they are “smart” and know words like p*dophilia without fully understanding the word itself. THANK YOU for taking the initiative to do this series. You will get many negative comments but you are doing what I consider god’s work by taking on this massive challenge to educate the fans. When I read recently that over 50% of BTS fans are under 18, I understood where perceptions come from and instead of screaming, shouting, yelling and fighting, education is power and if you can educate even 1% of BTS fans, you have accomplished the task you set yourself to tackle. So kudos! Looking forward to the next phase of the series.

That's an interesting fact. Once I saw a polling about 'When did you become an ARMY?' and most answered Dynamite. The fandom is just too big today with too many competing narratives. @moonbathingrite i, for one, became a BTS fan, when I saw Dynamite. and I am in my senior years. I saw different ship videos and I can say that Jinkook has the special relationship. after watching these different videos, I see other ships as fanservice. especially the ways JK acts when he is with Jin is so different with others. and with the fandom being more than 50% from the younger group and who fantasizes more the maknae group and ships, how was that derived? based on surveys, twitter, social media? the youth are the ones active in social media. I know a lot of people who are more than 30, 40, 50 and even 60 yrs old but not have been accounted for in this census.

I only recently registered with KZfaq and I still haven't registered as an Army, because I don't feel confident enough to do so without help. But I will, because it is important to me. I am sure, Jinkook is in a special relationship, but it might be better not to go into the details for that. I just found out, that KZfaq deleted the discussion in one of my favorite channels (vintage maze) for the protection of children (hear, hear). Dynamite is not my favorite song. I heard BTS songs first on the last big demonstration I went to (2018 or 2019).They played N.O., Not today and Fire. I was charmed. I prefer the old songs, although I need translations and often explanations. I like the music, the choreography, but the lyrics most. They are important to young people. I read that most Jinkook supporters are older and therefore more experienced in love (hopefully). We have to be careful how to deal with the younger group and direct our anger more to those who are responsible for misdirections. For example: Whenever I type "Jinkook" in KZfaq, I am offered a "Jikook" selection time and again. Why? Its annoying!

I have never thought Jin was abusing JK. I am very surprised that anyone does. In groups where there are single sex members it is natural for the members to be affectionate and close. Some will be closer than others because they are just a bit more compatible and fit together. Their behaviors and beliefs are more in sync. All the members should be allowed to develop their own identities and preferences, and permitted the privacy to do so.

I think it's uncommon for ARMY in general who value OT7, but it happens many times from the shippers. I don't think they understand the term either, they just want to use anything to diminish the bond between Jin & JK as they see it as a "threat" for their ships. Since I maintain a Jinkook channel, I received those comments too.

You are a really cool and responsible fan to do this! People casually throw such serious words around (some of them might not understand them because there is no formal education related to this) but you took the time to present the research and make people understand how damaging are the words that they are using simply because they do not like a ship. It must have been uncomfortable at your end to read people say such things about Jin, but as always you managed to do it with research and without attacking anyone else. I hope people who come across carry the same attitude and don't hate on the members because of shipping. Thanks for this! Edit: Thanks a lot for making this public again. I saw some people saying such things again and was really missing this! This would come in handy the next time someone brings up this topic to paint them in a negative light, although I really hope that doesn't happen.

We wish... But I think it's going to keep coming in the future for a simple, inevitable fact that Jin & JK are getting closer day by day. Besides this on Jin's side, I also received some comments about JK. Mostly the arguments revolve around how he doesn't deserve Jin.

@@moonbathingrite Recently, a lot of (epecially newer) Jinkookers have started moving like the two big ships where they base the narrative of their ship mostly on jealousy, skin ship, etc. And since JK is physically affectionate in general, people start to question his feelings when that loses its exclusivity. I didn't know it had gotten to this level though. Maybe that's why most ships that involve JK tend not to have him as their bias because the shippers paint him in an inferior light. It's upsetting though because none of them can support Jin as much as JK does personally and professionally...or other members too for that matter.

I am not into shipping, I simply like their moments which shows genuine relationship wether they are together or friends. But those toxic shippers that describes Jin as manipulator and predictor are insane and have some serious issues . 5 years gape is nothing at all they are both still in their twenties, I don’t know how is this an issues . Jin is one of the kindest soul I ever met I don’t know how his kind act toward JK was described like that . Actually I believe the reason Jungkook change to matured guys with tattoos and so on is to prove to army and the world that he is very matured and masculine man now ,, not as baby and innocent man that know nothing .. The fact that he wanted to go gym and do tattoo at the beginning year of debut but he cannot do it because the company wanted an 'innocent young man' concept on him ,, and the fact that jin cannot become himself at the beginning of their debut year because the company wanted to keep 'the cool guy' concept to jin is more mature topic to be discussed rather than 5 years gap is a crime in love ... I noticed their company image as well. JK complaining that he is not allowed to work out because of his "young boy" image and Jin in festa 2018 or 19 that he was supposed to be "the cool guy" because he was/is so handsome. And it took him until 2015 (!) to actually get out of this. Very annoying, to say the least. But remembering my student days I do think age is important at that time in life. E.g. we looked up to s.o. who already had their degree. But maybe this was more because they already knew things we did not, or a mixture? After that, age becomes less important as you say. It crossed my mind recently that it might become more important again, when you are really old (the difference between a 75 year old and an eighty year old). Just my thought, not important. I wouldn't dare to categorize their relationship which makes me happy to watch, but tell me, what does everybody mean by "pure" love? I am at a loss.

Thank god you decided to do this video. I just hope that the immature and young ARMY fans will find it within their intellectual capacity to sit through this video and learn a thing or two. I really, really, REALLY wish that those who made those comments will watch it and open their minds. Like I said earlier in a comment at your community post, I also have been trying to correct people on IG whenever they say that Jin "groomed" JK to be his bestfriend or worse, boyfriend, because it sounds predatory. Some will acknowledge that correction, the more combative ones will challenge my comment, but many others will just ignore. So now when I encounter these comments again, I will refer this video in the hope that they will get schooled. We really need INTELLIGENT and REFLECTIVE videos that you put out here in this platform so thank you very much for taking the time to make them. I think some people takes Jin's joke of "raising Jungkook" too literally. Even "raise/groom him to be his best friend" has a rather negative connotation since it implies that Jungkook has no sense of agency.

While it IS true that Jin did in a sense, raise JK -- waking him up in the morning, driving him to school, paying for his meals, bringing him home with him during the weekends to their house so that his Mom could feed both of them -- this does not mean that JK was/is bereft of his right and freedom to choose to go with Jin or not, hang out with Jin or not, In short, you are correct, it does not mean that Jungkook has no sense of agency and to think that is to utterly disrespect him. I'm proud of you, and I appreciate you for taking the time to write such an educational and well-spoken message. I really wanted to say something to everyone who has feminized and grooming Jin because of a video that someone mentioned, and they follow it is too frustrating and unsophisticated. Well, who am I to blame? The majority of the army in this fandom is naïve and immature. Whatever Jinkook has it too pure and true. In my opinion, if we place Jinkook under one label, it will make them less, because I believe they are so much more than that. For me, it's enough that they're happy with each other’s presence and sharing moments are too beautiful already. Like Jungkook said, small things matter the most.

When I first knew about BTS, This was ultimate ship. Until today, it still is. There’s something special and pure about their bond. you may not probably expect this kind of comprehensive analysis from immature ships who are used to cuts and edits in their videos just to satisfy their imagination. they then force the narrative that jinkook has a brotherly or worse parent-son relationship. they are just really insecure. I know a lot of couples (different or same gender) where age gap is even more than 5 years.

Been watching a lot of jinkook shippers compilation videos, I actually could see why people falsely accused Jin gro*m JK (aside from just them being jealous). Shipper accounts tend to fixated on exaggerating skinship as sexual tension, they slow mo-ed everything, even just an eye contact (members cant look in the eyes to each other w/o being labeled as "moment"??). Videos like Jin 'drowning' young JK still circulates around the internet, while I believe it would never be published by the member in the first place if it was what we assumed. Aside from the topic, the way I see it, JK is always a touchy-type to everyone, so did the other members. So I will just pass anything like neck massaging, playing with others' hair/head. But still I cant deny how Jin and JK always gravitate toward each other, demolishing my rationalization above (say, they are just brothers or in mom-son relationship). There are "real moments/clues" that cant be debunked by mere- "aaah, nope, they cant be a real couple." (and you already covered some of it on your previous videos exquisitely). The back hug out of nowhere and the awkward silent atmosphere following it in ITS? the songs' lyrics that seems like message to e/o and released in the same date only a year apart (and to know that both of them only make music based on their own experiences)? the ye*bo slip of the tounge several times? You cant just make up those things only to please the audiences, no😅 Anyway, great content as always! I actually felt unsettled at the beginning of this video, but fortunately your eloquent & thorough explanation really hit the point👏🏻

Jimin published the video of Jin 'drowning' JK by kissing him on the cheek. Jinminkook were at a Waterpark together. There was a lot of questionable content published before BTS were popular, which lead to an article speculating about Jinkook's sexual orientation. With that article plus the rise in BTS' popularity, BH took control of the content...and Jinkook. 🙂💜

I suppose most of the Jinkookers here have watched that other channel video who proved it was Jin. and in the comment section of that video, an intruder (other ship fanatic) even said that how could that be Jin when Jin was with JM and RM in the stingray place where Jin was so scared while JK was snorkling with JH, V and Suga. I had to contradict the commenter to say that the stingray and snorkling activities were in Saipan trip and was different from the Jinmimkook waterpark activity. it only proved that this other shippers do not do their homework. making such comment since she could not accept the underwater incident.

It was a well done video, where you described both sides. It was also the truth, when you told them that they actually could be sued. Honestly, me too. Those people who accuse him could be a minor or in a vulnerable position themselves, that's why I believe education is more important. At the same time, I wish HYBE at least spoke more about this matter. Not specifically about Jin since it'll only feed the media, but warning fans about defamation of their artists and the consequences each time an issue arises. After all, Jin has been accused with these words for long.

I was unaware that these comments were being said about Jin and, to be honest, it saddens me greatly. I have been conscious of a lot of negativity by solo stans of late which I do not understand. Why he is not allowed even one moment in glory when theirs have had so many baffles me. Are they so selfish, because the members they say they love so much would be so disappointed in them? I am quite sure they would not approve of their behaviour towards a person that is special to them. Jin is such a caring person to not only the maknae line who let's face it, all adore him and all want his love and attention but also the hyungs as well. Jungkook is especially close to him because he has always been there for him since he was thirteen providing him with love and attention, taking him home to his family and providing him with a family here in Seoul and a big brother in Seoul. The friendship and love they have is precious and not something to be made into what it's not to satisfy some jealous fantasy of solo stan fans. RM relies on him a lot and has often said he finds him inspirational, Suga sees him as his soulmate, J Hope thinks he keeps the group together. They all rely on him and all love him and he genuinely loves the Army and is so grateful to them. Yet how must he feel when he gets this type of hateful comments regularly for being good at his job and for being loving and kind. It is no wonder that he wanders into the Abyss of his mind. I am grateful that he seems resilient enough to overcome this and has family and members who love him. We should all be aware though no matter how strong a person is and no matter how much support, sometimes there can still be a breaking point if the hate continues. Big Hit or Hybe should find the people responsible for these comments and take legal action no matter the age. If they don’t they are equally culpable.

If Jinkook is problematic because he met Jin when he was 13, then every ship with Jungkook and other BTS members is problematic. They ALL met him when he was underage. And I know it's mostly Taekook and Jikook fans spreading this BS about Jinkook but I wonder what kind of people fetishize teen K-pop stars and desperately try to convince everyone they are in a relationship with each other. What I like about Jinkook shippers is that they are not deluded. All the Jinkook content I have watched always frames how brotherly Jin and JK's relationship was in the start. Even when he turned 18, because Jin never really seemed attracted to JK until the last couple of years. Almost all of us supporting this ship don't care if Jinkook is real or if those two end up dating other people. We just appreciate the positive, affectionate, at times seemingly romantic (could be or not be so) relationship. That's because both Jin and Jungkook are adults and we are all just observers who don't know them in person. Stop infantilizing that poor man in his freaking 20s. This video was so difficult to watch.....it was very well researched and presented, but the content is indeed a sensitive topic. I see comments almost daily about people saying negative things abt Jin & JK's bond and it hurts to see how many people agree with opinions that paint Jin as someone who took advantage of JK :/ I'm happy that this video exists to show people that those opinions are baseless and harmful accusations

Thank you for this great video. I hope it can reach those people that making accusations to jin and spreading hates everywhere. I don't have twitter and I don't want it so idk how worse is this matter. But when some channels that I followed on KZfaq had talked about this issue, it angered me so much to think that some people misinterpreted Jin's way of taking care of jk as grooming him. Seriously guys, what are they talking about, do they even know what grooming is? It is so disrespectful, how could they labelled jin as ped*? Please don't ruin jinkook's beautiful bond.

This video is for fools, stupid, blind and deaf to reality. These people should not be called a fan or ARMY. Jin and Jungkook love that began as friends or siblings should not be judged in case it ends up like a couple relationship. It's not Jin's fault that his relationship with Jungkook blossomed and grew like a flower built by trust and full of admiration towards each other. They can't blamed Jungkook too for loving Jin more than a brother or friend. If you watch some videos of them as a group together all the members wants Jin attention even SG, JH and RM mostly JM and V. Not only JK. This proofs that Jin is a nice person that everyone needs in their life. Young people nowadays is lack of attention and nurturing. They are blind from their fantasies. They even educate themselves, they easily judged the actions they saw in Jinkook. Maybe they hurt and not accepting the fact that their ships are fake and just for fanservices. They didn't know what they are doing which result for being an toxic fan or solo stan. This video is great and also a wake up call to people who are fooled.

When i saw that i cried all day and bcs of that I rarely open twitter till now. I dont understand how can they said that to jin just bcs they want to validate their ship?! before shipper we are an ARMY. I hope jinkooker doesnt start a problem like make a "thread" or anything comparing one shipper to another, because it will drag other members i dont want that happen again in the future. thank you for this. your videos are always profound and comprehensive. a number of comments here say that educating these haters or toxic non-army or even having them watch these kinds of videos can be an eye-opener. I don't think it will matter. a lot of these people are immature and nothing can change their minds. these people are becoming very insecure with jinkook and with jin as a member. a lot of jinkook moments are now being shown. and with the recent songs, Jin was given the spotlight he truly deserves. so the immature shippers will post all negative comments, adjectives, name-calling pertaining to Jin.

I always think shipping simply means rooting for two people who match each other very well and have a beautiful connection. That person mentioned that they didn't actually compare any ship they are trying to show jinkook also has beautiful moments to the some hateful j1k00k shippers who were stalking there acc and harassing them calling them delusional etc via dm telling the jinkook acc owner to stop shipping jin&kook . The jinkook acc owner told them not to stalk their page but the other shippers was still harassing them. So the whole ship war was actually started by other shippers and here jinkookers got into fight with them . You are probably not so active on twitter that's why you don't know what a toxic place this fandom has become nowadays. And the sad part is, between this whole ship war only jin get dragged awfully by this hateful shippers. I just want every shippers to be mature and stop the ship war, it's annoying af .

Thank you for this video I leared something I understand where this hate coming from 'cause I'm a shipper and I realized I'm becoming blinded like about wanting jinkook always together(but until now I'm still convince jinkook is real I ship them in a deeper level than before now I don't want to be blind and not seeking for the fact, and I think some fans are blinded by skinship) to the point I'm not even seeking for the truth but just my assumption just to make myself happy that sometimes I feel annoyed(not hatred) to some member but I'm glad I managed to knock some sense to my mind and stop becoming toxic I respect that we all have our own opinion but is it worth it to hate one ship or member or start a ship war? Im actually saddened that there are so called fans who would label jin in a bad way. I think they cant just accept that the ship they are supporting has less traction when it comes to proving its realness. When they saw that Jin and Jk has more chemistry, more unedited videos that almost confirm a possible relationship, these "fans" labeled Jin badly so they can ship JK to some members that they support. Its actually irresponsible and pure evil. Cant they not even see that JK is sneaky when it comes to jin before he turned 20? Its actually JK who is always vocal about his admiration for Jin in their earlier debut days. Jin was, if the rumors were true, is nursing a broken heart because of their previous bts trainee Kidoh.

Thank you so much for this sensitive approach to a very difficult subject. I must admit, the thought of Jin using the age gap did cross my mind, when I didn't know anything about them. Until 2014 he seems to have been close friends with s.o., who later wrote songs mainly about sex and drugs.( If it is true, what I saw.) And JIN spoke occasionally about his "dark side", leaving one to wonder, what he means by this. But as soon as I saw more of Jinkook, I changed my mind and I happily support them now. First I didn't quite understand the concept of seniority because In western cultures we have a different approach to age, but I remembered my feelings towards senior students who already had their degrees when I was just a beginner. Although I find it strange, that Jin is "senior" to Suga who is only three month younger, I assume it gives a structure which can be helpful. I too like to believe that people are not ignorant, but just don't know, so thank you again for your insightful video.

It's not "drugs" but weed which is legal is some countries but not in South Korea. He was caught while doing it in Thailand because his friend snitched. The Korean law permitted them to proceed with the legal process although it happened in another country since he's a Korean citizen and the law still applies. He hasn't been active as a rapper since 2017, parted ways with his old rapper crew, then worked mainly as a producer. He escaped his toxic circle and in a good supportive system now. I just want to set the facts straight to refrain from speaking ill of someone who's been through a lot and recovering. Thank you 😊

From my personal perspective this whole thing about "drugs" (marihuana) is difficult to understand and mad. In my student days love/sex, politics and mariuhana belonged together, were part of the subculture. Must admit though, that later I met young people who were influenced in a negative way by smoking weed and had to rethink my position to some extend. Not knowing Korea and the language makes it difficult to understand things for s.o. who is living in a western european country and from another generation. Like, what is the grey area? Tattooing is illegal, but JK and a lot of other people seem to have them. What about homosexuality? It is not illegal, but you can't have an official partnership or marry or adopt children. Not that my country is something to boost about... Love the BTS songs which are critical of society: education, rat race, mental health. I hope so much, that they are able to move something, with the help of someone like you who fights misconception.Thank you! By the way, the first time I heard BTS songs was on a demonstration: N.O., Not today, Fire. I will never forget.

There are soo many grey areas in Korea like you mentioned and most of them root in "social stigma" besides the actual law. It is really such in bad taste that other shippers would throw shades and negative things to Jin when in fact it is very obvious that it takes two to tango to have a relationship. Remember how good Jin is in suppressing his feelings that it even came to some points that he can wear a poker face. labelling happens when people believe they can make diagnosis, label just because they read, learned about a certain label or disorder. They play the authority to use it on people. This is problematic because just because of that small/miniscule knowledge, you destroy people and even their future... i hope people dont lightly throw diagnosis and labels on people especially if they dont have the education/training enough to do so. Thank you for this vid. I hope this will not only educate others out there but also make them realize effects of their behavior on people.

What baffles me the most is this mostly happened just because of a ship. Just because JK is closer to Jin than their preferred member. Are they even Army to be able to say these things? No one has a problem accepting V and Jimin are soulmates, but when it comes to Jin & JK, people are ruder (although Jimin also receives a lot of hate because of ship wars 😢). It's crazy seeing how much people would demonise them for something so unnecessary.
