Brilliantly done! And great also for putting in the spotlight one of the most creative and influential sonic minds of our times.

Great stuff, I just knew him from his insane set ups and always wondered how he had the money to get 4 units of everything I can't afford one of :'). Interesting story!

this only has 10 comments :( I wish richard devine was more popular he's so amazing like what the FUCK I'm really new to this I'm only 17 but it seems like this man is the absolute master of his field, it seems like no one does it better. But I know that can't be the full story! i don't know, maybe there is no one with that much equipment in that position, but i keep discovering new stuff... It just seems so weird all these artists that I love they rarely have something over a million plays even if they've been at it just as long, even if it's every bit as interesting and good and wise. It's like fucking LEGOS that is just more perfectly fitting for this music than I could've ever imagined! But who follows lego creators? ofc the most brilliant parts of math are probably understood by the smallest group of people, and music is not that different from math. Computer is best instrument.

Nice interview and editing! Just wanted to point out at 5:10, Richard says Juan Atkins, not Quantec in the subtitle.

Kontakte was a mind-opening experience for me too. Still think of it as the preeminent example of experimental electronic music.

Such a humble guy. Met him in London. Amazing mind. Truly the most innovative person ever in electronic music.
