You first need to teach a child that his decisions and behavior has consequences for him.

Morris Wilburn I used to be a reward and punish parent of a VERY STRONGWILLED child..it was hard work. I found about 3 years ago since honoring YHVH with firstfruit of our time...evenings (created evening and then day) reading Torah together and praying YHVH fathers us, my child has become perfect in obedience and loving her heavenly Father. If not quick to be obedient then quick to repent. I have become to believe reward and punishment was because Ysrael didnt know and Love YHVH..automatic obedience comes from loving Him rather than obedience out of fear of punishment
