Just a tip from someone who works professionally with 3D printers: just use a pot with hot water and put the parts in for one minute. Then you normally can easily pull of the supports (sometimes depends on the used material). Just make sure it is not as hot that the parts also start to bend/deform.

@@thunderstruck6647 I use about 85C from my kettle, but that was with Forge World resin for Warhammer kits, I can't be sure if the 3d printed stuff would work quite the same. Advice I got was to start with hot tap water, and if it doesn't do enough, add splashes of boiling from a kettle until it works. Another good option for longer pieces is a hair dryer, they can direct a pretty solid and controlled amount of heat.

When watching you grind that resin, I just had to say something. That paper mask isn’t going to keep those super fine resin particles out of your lungs. I recommend getting a 3M 7502 mask with some P100 filters, or equivalent. When sanding, do it wet. You won’t know you sucked up too much resin until it’s too late and you become hypersensitive to dust. Just trying to help.

Hey there King, some of the print texture is very hard to remove and it would require a lot of time and effort, but the best way is to accept the model for what it is - a raw 3D print (and that already makes it pretty unique!). It's also surprising how much can be hidden or obscured by paint :)

Protip from someone who handles 3D printed resin models, albeit not tank ones, at my work. The bottom hard piece the supports are attached to is called the raft, and we often break that into pieces before beginning to remove individual supports, as it makes it a little easier to get at the more interior supports. The supports attaching it to the parts will often break off the parts with the raft pieces before the parts break (with obvious exceptions when it comes to more delicate parts).
