Holy crap the random line about the "gayest straight guy" dislodged a random memory. I was at a friend's house with another guy we knew from high school (this was probably a few years after we graduated so let's call it 2012) and said other guys girlfriend or whatever. Let me point out I wasn't really a fan of hanging out with the other guy. Didn't really like him in school but we ran into some of the same circles. Long story short I was talking to this girl, playing on my laptop and whatever else just having fun, and he got ridiculously jealous because she was laughing a lot. He came over tried to get between us physically and we both started laughing at him a bit. She was trying to figure out a way to explain why I wasn't a threat to him as far as relationships or as a sexual possiblity. He didn't get it at all and just kept getting angrier. Finally I stopped laughing and made a joke about me being the "straightest gay best friend she'll ever have" and she nearly fell out of her chair laughing and he got angrier still because he had no idea how to decipher what I just said.

I think Eddie likes staying on the bus a bit better then going on the date haha

The guys on the bus were the only reason I could imagine sitting through this show. The minute long “dates” were more like watching some girl play whack a mole, but in a shallower way.

I’ve actually seen an episode where the guy took the money at the end. The girl wanted to be a cop, so she put him in handcuffs at the start of the date and basically treated the whole outing like a playful version of an arrest. She also rejected the first guy immediately because he wasn’t tan enough for her, so you clearly aren’t mean to feel bad for her at the end.

I'm 35 and it was definitely WAY more socially acceptable to smoke cigarettes when I was in college (05-09). Literally everyone smoked and no one thought twice about it. We didn't even consider ourselves smokers, it was just something you did socially. Everyone is so uptight now about it. Some thing are ok in moderation. Haven't smoked in like 10 years but I definitely miss driving around in the winter with the windows down having a cig, blasting music.

As an "EVERYTHING!!" music lover, I feel bad for this girl! I had a guy tell me in the early 90's that he tried listening to Country Music for 4 hours and couldn't get into it. I told him it didn't matter to me because I loved all types of music! I told him that I couldn't give a shit about his love for Star Wars and that ended our relationship!🤣
