@@Liquid_Mike It's kinda sad, but very much true, yeah. Having limitations and obstacles is what leads to innovation. Without them, there is no motivation or incentive to improve. I very strongly believe that music composition and production is more difficult today than it was 100 years ago. 100 years ago, you probably just had your vocals, maybe a guitar, and some pots and pans to bang on. Now, anyone with a computer has access to millions, maybe even billions of different sounds and softwares and synths and sound banks and so on.

Mario Paint Composer/Advanced Mario Sequencer was my first step into DAWs (well, being generous with the term DAW of course). We used to have a really big, thriving community of people on KZfaq making content using this family of programs and offshoots... Over a decade ago, they were everywhere. Blast from the past.

I got mariopaint for my 8th bday, the uh ughhh face and the cat always made for a good laugh. Biggest hold back to old school Mario paint was only being able to place 3 notes at once. You could make some bangers back in 1993 tho

Mario paint got me making beats when I was a kid. Then funk master flex had two editions and I was burning tracks down to cd on one of the first cd recorders that came out. To be able to take that burn down and throw it in my car system and roll out was the best shit ever and still iz. I still got Mario paint stashed away thx for reminding me I need to break that shit out and that funk master flex, you could even drop your own samples into it and came with a pinner ass 🎤 😆
