I used to visit Chester few times a year from Canada when I was a child as we had family there. Now, unfortunately, no family left and too expensive for me to visit at this time but miss seeing the city.

808steveA. Buskers & Street performer's.: Totally agree. Hopefully, I will have the cash 💰 to buy a property in Chester one day. Absolutely love the city. Visiting this August, can’t wait.

There is so much beauty in the world and this....this is definitely one of them. Very beautiful looking city. I’ve never been to England but I’ll be going in the near future and when I do this will definitely be my on my list of tourism sights. 😎🙌

As you say, so much beauty...The cherry blossoms in Japan, the beautiful buildings St Petersburg, Russia, Chester...The better part of England, really...all beautiful.

Nancy Hobson Better part of England...I think I can agree 100% my dear. Some people may say that some parts of England are nothing special,that its old. But I say(along with many others I hope)that those parts of England are beautiful,historical,real and authentic. And that’s the way we like it. 🙌🙌🙏🙏

The older buildings, at least in these parts, are very classy. No wonder you like them!

I miss this place, grew up just over the border in Wales. Moved to Scotland in 2005, never to return 😢

i was born in chester in 1956. i lived there until 1986 when i fled over the border to north wales. i still love chester with all my heart but am saddened to see it in 2019 as just another struggling city with mass closures of retail stores and boarded up once thriving shops. and as for some of the hideous accommodation buildings they have erected now especially round the canal basin and northgate areas, well im sorry but they have succeeded in creating a place that no longer bares any resemblence to the historic and very beautiful chester of my younger days. just plain sad.

mark jones: I noticed your observations too Mark after not being in Chester for 25 years. However, if I get the cash 💰 one day. I would still love to buy a property in Chester.

@@jerrycooper1428 hiya jerry. my mum still lives in the garden lane area. i used to really yearn to buy a place back in chester but i do have to say that the allure has now sadly left me and i find the once beautiful city centre a hotchpotch of missmatched buildings and somehow the friendly vibe has gone.(maybe im just getting old jerry )..

@@mindoza44 : We are just getting older, that is all. Fond memories of when we were young. However, as said I fell in love again with Chester when I went back there last February. I am coming again next month, on leave from Saudi, between August 5th to the 18th. I am staying in Hoole so if you fancy a drink, that would be nice. It would be good to make some contacts from the area. If not, no worries.

@@jerrycooper1428 hiya jerry ok that would be great to meet you in chester,it would have to be before the 15th aug as im away after then on hols. so whenyou arrive in chester on the 5th just message me to say what day you want to meet up.it would be better for me if it could be in the day rather than the evening as due to my heart probs im clapped out by evening. i look forward to making your aquaintance jerry. cheers mark.

Hi there, we've been enjoying watching this. We film natural sight and sound walks in soulful cities, so it's lovely to see another eye view of a city we haven't visited, thank you for taking the time to add it.

Why is it that so many Cestrians don't appreciate Chester? It's a beautiful city that's been on the up after a slump and it is WELL worth a visit imo.
@rachaelsara94345 жыл бұрын
@@JustSiobhan Sorry to say it definitely isn't on the up. 10 shops have closed in the last 4 weeks. And CWAC do nothing to help. When the police say they wouldn't go near Chester at night. Well that say it all . Such a shame

The city is a shadow of what it was in the 80s..the councilors responsible for the demise of this once wonderful city need rounding up and shooting...
