It just depends on what you need. As a consumer you can choose what you buy. The CalDigit TS4 would likely be its closest competitor and that retails for $399

It's definitely one of the better looking docks and I do think for what you get, it's packed with value

Not physically into the dock, but you could buy an NVMe enclosure and plug that into one of the four available thunderbolt 4 downstream ports

Still just 1 external display limited at 60hz with a macbook air though. SMH

Depends on the Air. M1/M2 can support single display up to 6k, but I've seen people running 4k 120hz. M3 can run dual monitors with the lid closed. If you use a DisplayLink dock for Air you can support dual monitors on M1/M2/M3 with the lid open.
