@@DawidDoesTechStuff my old 2900k system had 2 ssd's raid 0'd and only held with 1 screw on each side of the tower. they never moved once in 8 years. you're right, it's a waste of time

My trident Neo's are getting rattly too. I think it does it with heat over time, I don't remember them being like that before I put them in my main system 6 months ago

@@DawidDoesTechStuff Nah, I think Timmy Joe might just be mistaken with all the hardware he deals with, I've gotten more than one separate package of DIMMs and they rattle a bit out of the box. I think they actually have a "fake" metal casing "heatsink" overtop the real one, for aesthetics, and I think that's what's rattling, the outside metal part.

@@MajorHardware You are actually the first person to mention it. Canada has pretty strick conseal carry legislation, so those small hand held tasers are illegal here. You can only buy them if they are above a certain length.

Ahhhhhh Dawid this is my current favorite video of yours, and I will be back to watch it at least 10 times. This was a really great video idea my man. Keep up the good work, you'll stop dropping screws in no time hahah. What I think you need more than anything, is a stronger magnet on your screwdriver maybe, because my screws dont fall off the tip of mine unless I actively shake it around TRYING to knock a screw off, but bumps and just little movements dont cause anything to happen really.

I'm happy you published this after I did my build last week as the Mrs just got a tazer and would be more than happy to emulate this. RE: The SSD '4 screws' question - nope, two screws only if mounting them. Hell, I have two of them just tossed into the bottom of my case sitting loose as the case only has 3 SSD mounts, and I have 5 drives.

Little tip as well for those who don't use the triangle method, the raised end of the CPU socket that the latch is in is the "top" of the socket, so you can arrange the CPU based on which way the text is facing as well. I'm not sure if this is right 100% of the time cause its not listed in any guide/manual, but of all the systems I've built for myself/friends/customers over the last few years this has worked out so I'm fairly confident in it.

Have to admit, I've never used a magnetic screwdriver when pc building. I usually just finger place each screw and then finish off with a standard screwdriver. Much less screw drops that way.

If you hadn't spent $28,318 CAD on wish graphics card's, you'd be able to afford a decent magnetic driver. Anna in the background laughing like a crazy person. Gold. Yeah I have the Trident Z RGB ram as well and it’s pretty solid but the light diffuser bar thingy on the top is a little loose and will rattle for some reason, I’m not too sure why it’s loose like that. You two are such a good pair! Definitely do more content together

Assembling in zero-G removes the problem with dropped screws. Unfortunately the screws tend to float into the air recycling system, gum up the works, and people suffocate ...

I have that same case and cooler in my build. I love it. Was super easy to build in and the cable management channel with the Velcro loops are great! The only down side to the cooler is that you have to run NZXT CAM software in order to control the LCD, although in all my test it did not seem to impact performance at all. Using only 45-110mb ram in the background. I have a I7 12700k, Asus TUF gaming z690 plus (wifi), 32gb Corsair 3600 (single channel or course🤣🤣) Aorus RTX 3070ti master and EVGA 850w all in cost me a smidge less than $1400 usd

pro tip....You can re-magnetize your screw driver if you have an old speaker magnet ...Simply rub the tip on the magnet(scratching it) and and some particles with stick to it and it will become stronger. It also works for non magnetic screw drivers

I hate when the screws falls too, but if you have a magnet, scrub the tip of the screwdriver to magnetise it. Do it in the same direction, not back an forth, for a few times, and you have a well magnetised tip for some time. When I built my Pc last week the screws didn't fell even once.

I just built using the Corsair 4000D Airflow case like the one in this video. Lovely case, picked it up for just under £80 from Amazon in the UK. After cutting my cutting teeth with cheaper cases I can’t go back now. A definite recommend for this Corsair case. I don’t put all 4 screws into SSD cases either, its not as though its going to vibrate like a HDD is it? 2 screws are fine for SSD case.
