Honestly that's a pretty neat and cool small system. Temps could be better but considering how compact it actually is it's impressive it still runs cooler than most gaming Laptops. 😂

What if the BIOS of the original motherboard is corrupted?. That can make the computer not post too.

Years ago i used to buy all kids of broken electronics and computers on ebay to fix. About 2018-2020 people got a lot more sneaky some would say id just say lying in descriptions. The amount of "it just wouldnt turn on one day" and then you would get it in the post and its covered in pop or even worse bloody vape oil residue. And then at the same time people would pay through the nose for anything broken just like this video 750 plus postage and packaging 900 overall and i realise that you can make money through putting out videos so you can still make it work but i realised as i was trying to pay nearly 80% of retail on a dead m1 mackbook air that it was no longer worth it.

memory is not going to affect FPS, that would be the chipset.

This is why I don't want to mess with vertical mount video card brackets. Sure, when they work, they work, but it's always going to be an additional and arguably unnecessary point of failure.

You don't solder memory hehe, you ball chips. You ball the surface and then you spread a whole bunch of goop all over it real nice and smooth, and you put it on a hot plate while hitting it with hot air until *slurp sound* The chips just suck themselves into place if you align them right. If you don't then they go on crooked and weird and then you get to try again. It's a wonderfully interesting process. I highly recommend looking into it if you think it's cool!

On sale for $699 right now. Got a deal on one of the 240Hz LG OLED ultrawides but returned it because it was used and the power on hours made me question the value, even at 40% off MSRP. Got this direct from LG and its been great. Coming from a 180Hz IPS for years now I can say confidently that the 138Hz is not noticeably different to me at all. It could be the significantly lower latency on the OLEDs that makes up the difference for lost refresh rate. Either way its been going great with about 36" between me and the screen. 42" would have been my preference, but 42">48">32" is my opinion on the 4K OLED panels.

As soon as I saw the riser cable I though that was the culprit as I have had one fail on me before and lucky it was within 12 months so I got a refund from Amazon

$40 for a 500GB SSD? Have you seen the prices of SSDs these days? Artificial restriction of supply to increase cost sucks.

I am guessing the problem all along was the PCIe riser cable, the bad one probably fried something in the PCIe slot whenever it failed and you got lucky the same didn't happen when you tried it on the new mobo. Did you ever test the mobo video outputs to see if the CPU would output any image?

I said in the last video it might be a corrupted BIOS. See if it has a flashback feature, or get a BIOS reprogrammer. See if it has SPIROM switch on the board., that will switch it to the backup.

I work at Geek Squad in the USA. Yeah half the employees in the store are just glorified retail workers. If you want to talk to people who really know what their talking about talk to the repair agents in the back. Those are actual tech people

i fixed a friends system that had no post and gpu fans ramped upto 100. first i tried ram and nothing, so next (only because i had another psu laying out so it was easy to check right away i plugged that psu into gpu , cpu, and mobo and it posted. It may not be as common as ram or gpu issues but psu's can still power a system but not get a post screen.
