On September 22, 1995, Im Na-Yeon was born in Seoul, South Korea. She is TWICE's lead woman, lead singer, and eldest member. On September 15, 2010, Nayeon became a trainee after discreetly trying out for and clearing JYP Entertainment's 7th Open Audition. She was selected to be a member of the anticipated JYP girl group 6mix in 2013, however the group failed to make its official debut. She made numerous television commercial engagements and carried out in multiple music videos including her label partners, namely Jun, before joining TWICE and completing her professional debut as Sixteen.
